The Bard's Concerto [OOC]

Hi! My name is Mage. It’s been a little while since I made a new storybook, but I’m really excited to see where this storybook goes. I’ll be writing for the lead guitarist of our storybook’s band.

I’ll be posting more about the storybook’s lore and plot in the near future. As of right now, here’s the rundown on what you need to know about it:

- Your character is from modern day Earth.
- They can play any of the instruments listed. If you really want them to play something that’s not there, let me know! I’m down for alternative band structures. I just based the band in this on the ones in BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!.

- Your character also doesn’t have to be an expert on their instrument. For example, my character only played her guitar a little bit when she was younger before discarding it for years. It’s really up to you to determine what their connection to their instrument is - and feel free to get as creative as you want!

- The demons in this storybook are manifestations of negative emotions: anger, resentment, despair, etc. We’re basically following the classic anime trope of the protagonists literally fighting other people’s inner demons.

- I’m still ironing out everything about Allegro, but the world is a mix between modern and high fantasy. It’s bright, colorful, and overall seems like a pretty upbeat place.

- The posting style is inspired by recent storybooks in the LSS competition. Basically, they’re longer than roleplay posts but still on the more casual side. I really want this storybook to stay active, so I’d love to get a few posts up each month - preferably one per character!

If you’re interested in this storybook, let me know what role you want! As of right now, we’ll just be sticking with the five roles listed on the actual storybook. But if there’s interest later on and the plot allows for it, I’d be happy to add more writers to our cast.

Edit: Here's our character profile template! When you're filling it in, you'll want to write your text after the "[ / small-caps ]" code for each line. Otherwise everything will have the same font and be bold, which would make reading the CPs a little difficult.

This looks so interesting. Could I potentially be the keyboardist? I play the piano a bit in real life so it sounds like it'd be fun to do.

While we wait for them to join, I'll get started on making our character profile templates. I already have some basic ones from previous storybooks, so it shouldn't be hard to edit them for this storybook. I'll add them into the first post of the DT and also make a note of it in a new post so everyone knows they're up.

The character profile template is now up! I already have a character in mind for this, so expect to see her profile up soon - you should be able to use it as reference if you're not sure what to write for yours. It's not specifically stated in the template, but I'd definitely appreciate if you said where your character is from in their backstory. Because the story is set on another world, your character can theoretically be from anywhere on Earth. I thought it would be cool to have that already established/written out before we started the actual storybook.
