@Magebird the dog thing can reach anyone who tries to go through the tunnel. It's positioned so it can cross from one side of the doorway to the other but can't go any further than the middle of the room when heading toward the other doorway.

I suddenly remembered that Raptor's lore has something like those little orbs, so I decided to have him mention them. Maybe he'll end up opening to Nikolai about his history while they're walking. >>
