That works! Otherwise, maybe we can break down the adventuring to ghost town to two posts between you and Val? Also, here are some ideas of what could happen when they venture to ghost town ~
Bickering about ghosts and survival and stuff

The sky seems to be getting darker the further they go in, even though it should be late morning
The vegetation seems to be getting thicker and thicker, and they gotta push vines and cobwebs out of the way
After going through a thorny underbrush section, they encounter an abandoned town
It basically looks like 1940s tiny town but some shoddy huts... almost as if there was an influx of survivors from WWII that came in and built this town
Explore town! Everything is creepy. Shacks for homes and stuff. Probably lots of remnants, like pottery, old radios, remnants of a small boat/plane, some writings, etc.
You could also make up ghosts here. That'd be interesting.
As soon as they get creeped out, they seemed to get trapped in whatever building they came in, and @veeren's Captain Morgan makes an appearance
alright so I quickly wrote all this down and you don't have to do these things at all lol but I thought I'd shoot you some ideas for inspiration! Feel free to write however long/short of a post you want, so you don't have to feel super rushed to get to veer's character. But @veeren, your character will be making an appearance very very soon
