(Still thinking of Ashes -> Ash Wednesday -> Lent -> and then the word Poland made me think of donuts, because even in the US sometimes people eat Polish Donuts -> pączek for "Fat Tuesday," for the day before Ash Wednesday especially if there are enough Polish immigrants in the area.. And I think that's also the only Polish food that I can think of at the moment.)
