Yeah, she definitely isn't. :P Victoria loves great, by the way! I can't wait to see how she interacts with everyone else.

Last week was surprisingly chaotic, so I wasn't able to get a post done then. It looks like this week is going to turn out the same way. My goal is to get the first post done in the week after this one, but I might have to wait until April break before things really die down.

But, like I said before, feel free to post even if I haven't!

I completely forgot I have a write-in at the local library coming up this Saturday, so I should be getting that post done then! <3

The post - and first challenge - are now up! In case anyone is curious, it's currently a Friday morning in the storybook. School is just about to start, though you're welcome to start your post before or after that point.

I can't wait to see what you guys are going to write!

How are everyone's posting coming along? This storybook hasn't been that active lately, and I'd love to change that. <3

Yeah, honestly I had a vague idea for my first post, but I let it get away from me. I think NaPo and other life things were more draining than I anticipated. I'll have to brainstorm this weekend.

Arc I: Introductions

Challenged Adventurer(s)

@Magestorrow, @Corvid, @niteowl, @LordWolf, @TinkerTwaggy, and @Coffeism.

The Challenge

This first challenge is a relatively simple one: we just need to get to know your characters. It's up to you to decide how you'll introduce them - you can show their interactions with Bluebell, with the important people in their lives, or even some nice introspection into their own lives. And, as always, you can score some points for having your character interact with other people's characters.

Completion Time

April 30th, 2019

Credits Awarded

You can get one point for posting, and another point if your post is over 700 words. You can get one point for doing each of these following things in your post, for a grand total of four points:

1. Have your character interact with someone else's character.
2. Have your character interact with the town of Bluebell.
3. Have your character interact with an important person in their life.
4. Have you character reflect on their life in Bluebell.

You can get up to six points from this challenge!

I can't wait to see what you all have planned next for Bluebell :D Happy SBing!

It's funny - I didn't realize it until just now, but this storybook unexpectedly veered into being very focused on being queer. I'm definitely down for that, but it's just cool thinking about how this story evolved from how I originally envisioned.

Speaking of being queer, I was in charge of this month's Captain's Challenge, and I thought you guys might be interested in it. It's centered around pride, so you should be able to claim a credit from a post in here. :)

LOL I wasn't expecting it either, but now my character is veering into queer territory as well (semi-inspired by Scary Spice's claim that she hooked up with Ginger Spice). I hope to finish the darn thing soon, maybe this weekend.

OK, so my post is up! @Coffeeism, feel free to let me know if I messed up your character at all. I wasn't sure how my character would interact with @LordWolf's character (I'm guessing it would be like not super close but at least friendly), so I had her interact with Martha instead. I also changed a few things on her CP, but it's mostly minor.

OH YEAH THIS

You would be interested to know that I began writing up a first post when this SB was getting started, yet never got around to finishing, and the good news is that I still have that auto-saved. The bad news is that revisiting that post brought on unexpected writing anxiety and a rapid downward spiral of confidence, which is new to me and kind of put me in writing paralysis. I'm going to catch up on reading the posts already up because I never got around to that, and that might shift me into moving towards posting.
