Pajama Party

Magic slowly raised their hand.

"I know this technically is something I'm supposed to avoid," they said, "but, if you want, I could use a healing spell on you. I think the multiverse would be alright with that, since it must have chosen to bring you guys here for a reason."

They paused.

"Ooor this was completely random, and I'm just trying to find a loophole."

They turned to Thytes, now that they had offered their help. Grinning, they hopped up to their feet and conjured a Twister box. "It's a game where you have to put a certain body part on a certain colored circle! Whoever keeps their balance the longest wins." They held out the box to Thytes.

The lion looked down at the box, then back up at Magic.

"Apologies, Pom," he said, gently pushing the box back. "I pride myself on my flexibility, but I am not sure I would be able to fit in here."

James, who couldn't help but overhear, looked over at Thytes and Magic.

"Is there a larger version of that colorful illustration inside?"

Thytes stared down at the box. "Ah," he said at last. "Of course, that would make perfect sense. Apologies, I am rather out of my element today."

"It's okay," Magic said, plopping the box down on the table in the center of the room. They wasted no time in opening it and spilling its contents across the wooden surface. "Realities merging is always a bit weird. Okay, so do we want multiple games going on at the same time, or do we just want to take turns with it?"

"I think taking turns might be a little easier," Schadel suggested from behind Magic, leaning over and unfolding the mat. "It could get chaotic if multiple people are shouting out what to do next."

Damascus smiled back at Kratzer and nodded, turning his attention back to Magic, who ha do started to set up the game. He hurried over and fingered the mat, studying the instructions.

"Oh! So that's Twister! Interesting. Looks like fun." He beamed. "Are we... should we play with teams, then? One team competing on the mat, and the other taking turns with commands?"

Well, the mat didn't exactly have a good aesthetic, but at least it was far bigger than the box (not to mention colorful).

"I would love to be part of the team on the mat," he said. "Giving commands seems a rather boring task in comparison."

James looked over the mat and the spinner, and with a sigh, stood up from his seat. “I’ll play once on the mat,” he agreed.

"Oh, yes!" Damascus beamed up at James and Thytes. "If there's room for one more, I'll be on the mat first as well."

"I think we could try getting three people on there," Magic uncertainly said. It had been quite some time since they had last played Twister, but they vaguely remembered that sort of thing being possible. It would just a little...crowded and awkward at some points, but that was part of the fun of the game.

James looked down at the mat, already doing the math. If they were all going to crowd together on it, it was likely to get awkward very quickly. But it could pose an interesting challenge. If this was all they had to do, he might as well partake, and at least text his flexibility and balance in the meantime.

"I'm in."

"Yes! Sounds like a good time!" Damascus beamed. "Who goes first, then?"

"I would love to!" Thytes said, getting off of the couch and stepping forward.

Magic grinned. "Thytes is it, then! I call spinner."

They grabbed the wheel from the box, then plopped back down on the couch and gave it a large, enthusiastic spin.

"Put your left foot on a blue circle," Magic said once it came to a stop.

Thytes stepped onto the mat and picked the first blue circle he saw. Hopefully he wouldn't get his claws stuck into the mat.
