Kazimir's face scrunched up as he heard the noises come from the stall. He looked over to Adophis, showing her the fullness of disgust on his face as he gestured back at the stall with a thumb.
"Yeah, he's gonna have to clean that," he whispered.
Though it was impossible for the others to know, the sounds coming from the stall weren't exactly what they sounded like. According to what he had learned long ago, his kind were gifted at changing how they sounded and looked. While the looked part didn't technically apply here, the vocals were something that provided him with exactly what he needed. A few well-placed groans and the sound of an incredibly upset stomach, and neither Kazimir or Apophis would ever be the wiser.
When he had finished his little performance, he sunk back into the toilet and stared up at the ceiling. He hadn't really had a good chance to just sit down and think about what he had been through leading up to his arrival here and what had happened afterwards. He hadn't even begun to plan his escape. He knew he really should have been, but he he had been too distracted with everything else.
Especially Kazimir.
He had barely known Rem and had only just met Apophis, but he had grown to know Kazimir surprisingly well. A guy like him just didn't seem to fit in a place like this. This was the sort of place that a horrible person should belong in.
She nodded in agreement to Kazimir. "Yes, he is." Ugh. How long would this take?
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
Kazimir gave another lingering gaze towards the stall, wincing at the groans he heard from Leo. He shook his head, and pointed his hose back at the stall wall, turning it on.
Yelling over the sound of the pounding water, he called out to Apophis.
"So how'd you get in this dump bucket? Kill someone? Steal something?" he asked.
"Killed a lot of people, destroyed a lot of things, caused quite a bit of chaos. Turned a world to anarchy while I was at it," she shrugs. "The charges are a bit many to count."
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
He raised his eyebrows, nodding. "Figures. Everyone here's got an extensive rap sheet, or just one, really really bad thing." He looked over at the stall where Leo was still suffering.
"Unless if you're a poor soul like Leo. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"Damn, unlucky bastard," she says with a shake of her head.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
"That's what I said, and then he looked sad that I called him a bastard," Kazimir joked, his laugh echoing throughout the stall. "But nah, nah, Leo's a good man. Doesn't deserve to be here."
"Hm." That has the potential to either play to her advantage or be very, very dangerous. It depends on how easy it is to manipulate him.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
He sat on the toilet for a few more minutes before deciding to emerge from the recesses of the stall. It would premature to see that he felt completely better, but there was a significant improvement from when he went into it. He pushed the cart away from in front of the stall and slipped back out, ready to return to cleaning the one he was first in.
Kazimir nodded, letting his head bob a few times before returning to his task.
He had to admit that doing repetitive, menial tasks was at least conducive to productive thought - because he'd gotten to thinking about how they would escape the sh*thole that was their prison. As far as ideas went, he didn't have a lot, but he had a gut feeling that Leo was the sort of genius who might've had something up his sleeve, and was just waiting for the right moment to pull it out.
As for Apophis, he couldn't say. She seemed... untrustworthy and disloyal, and an unsavory character. But if he was going to get out of there, he'd need all the help he could get.
When the bathroom was finally spotless, the three rolled their carts back towards the entrance, and Kazimir stopped to take a look at their handiwork with his hands on his hips.
He had spent the rest of the time cleaning the stalls alternating between trying to ignore his discomfort and trying to concoct some sort of plan to escape from the prison. He admittedly hadn't gotten all that far due to being distracted, but he had started to come up with some semblance of a plan. His true nature was key to it - they believed he was human. Even if they suspected that he wasn't a normal one, they could never anticipate what he was capable of. Most of his attacks wouldn't be safe in close quarters, but the one thing he could undoubtedly rely on was his ability to change forms.
And he would put that to good use.
That only left one problem: there was Apophis and Kazimir to think about. He was unsure about Apophis, but Kazimir didn't deserve to be here. He needed to help him escape as well - he just had to figure out how to tell him the truth. And where, seeing that they were almost always guarded.
Finally, the end of the day, and it was mealtime again.
Kazimir followed in step beside Leo as they waited in line for their meals, and he wondered how well they could all be heard amongst the chatter. He gave quick glances around, knowing that the guards - though not present in the cafeteria - were always just waiting to step in. There were hidden cameras. Hidden mics. He just couldn't see where. The technology didn't require them to be big and obvious, so finding a place to discuss plans was like a gambling game.
He let out a small sigh as he was Apophis fall in line behind them, and he tapped his foot on the floor.
