Hercule Poirot versus Miss Marple

Title says it all. I prefer Miss Marple because she's more fun to be with, but Hercule is such an interesting characrer too. It's a bit of a one-sided contest because I read more of her than him (3.50 from Paddington and 13 Reasons Why vs Five Little Pigs).

As a side note, my other favourite character is Jane Helier from 13 Reasons Why because wow the twist includes her too! Her character is just deliciously deceiving! But of course, she can't beat Miss Marple.

Poirot. Everyone loves a Belgian.

It depends on what kind of detective solving type you like. Poirot uses psychology, Marple - parallels and Holmes uses clues.

Miss Marple first, she's love! I truly admire her because she's so gentle and has got a simple yet amazing way to get to the roots.

And nobody expects her to be so smart

Poirot is awesome but Sherlock.....who can beat Benedict Cumberbatch in a deerstalker hat? Poirot is my runner-up.

I voted for Poirot, but really all the detective characters of the great Dame Agatha Christie are absolutely superb. And to think I would never have even read one of her books if I hadn't been forced to do an oral on her for English four years ago (We had to draw names from a box, and I drew her, so...)

Fun fact: Agatha got bored with Poirot, but decided not to kill him to continue entertaining her audience (who loved him). Miss Marple didn't make the same impression, however

Also! I found out Agatha wrote a character named Harley Quinn too! So interesting. I will borrow more of her books. '^'

I'm so tempted to mention the cartoon mystery series based on Miss Marple. I think it was Miss Mallard but I might have that wrong.

Poirot! I've always loved Sherlock Holmes, but lately I've appreciated reading Hercule because he isn't as perfect. He gets my vote today!

Since it was never said you can't have two, I place my vote with Joe and Frank Hardy! ^_^ While I loved Nancy Drew growing up, that awesome brother duo stole my heart. There's no denying that all of the detectives mentioned are great at what they do, but there's just something so relatable about Frank and Joe that I haven't been able to find in Sherlock. And I don't know enough about Poirot and Marple to say that I like them better.
