YWS 10.0

More of a thought exercise than a writing activity, but...

Lets assume that YWS is not only still around in 2020, but that it's stronger than ever (having survived the nuclear fallout after the collapse of North Korea and the abrupt shift in Earth's gravity due to an extra tilt in the earth's axis). And then lets asumme that I am on here again asking for feature requests for YWS 10.0. And keep in mind that even though that's only fourteen years from now that the world wide web was only invented about fourteen years ago, and think how much it's changed since then.

So, what would you like to see/feel/hear/virtually realize in YWS 10.0?

Virtual reality fight club in the debate forum.

A coffee machine in the Lounge. You could put a mug near a USB port and be writing all night.

Actually being able to talk to the members in person, not just over the Internet-but being able to stay in your computer seat all the same.

Sounds like something out of a sci fi novel, eh?

If we have an arcade, an update from the outdated Atari games.

I'd have to agree...being able to see each others faces while we chat. Having chat room with like 12 different pictures up on our screen at once, being able to hear each other instead of typing. That would be sweet.

I would like a chat that doesn't need to high of a internet speed cause i never get to talk to anyone.

Let's bring this back to life!

I'm going to be boring and un-futuristic here:

How about an updated chatroom in which you can use webcams and audio? Sort of like e-lluminate, only more than one person can talk at once.

A virtual play area - by then we'll be able to plug ourselves into our computers, and we will hop around cyberspace - although you'll have to have some cyber-security. We don't want some of the more... frivolous members scrambling our posts.

Oh, and a feature that allows us to actually live through the stories. It wouldn't really help us critique grammar and spelling and such, but it would be funky-cool.

Definitely the chat thing XP Wootith! And a rope in the chat room, for when the chat falls down the well, also my couch. An awesome video guestbook signing. And pink clouds.

Another thing that might be nice would be posting videos and video clips, things that you've done. Expand to include all the arts like music and dancing. I've noticed a lot of people on the YWS are not only interested in writing, but also in music, acting, and other performance-type arts. It might be cool to get critiques on that sort of stuff as well!

Although, "Young Writer's Society," I guess, isn't really what that's meant for.
