No, you're definitely not alone. This has been happening to me a lot too, and it's really annoying. I have a mac though, so maybe this has something to do with it?

There's a new layout for YWS coming out, so I hope this might improve that.

There should be an "edit" button on any post you make, upper right-hand corner -- I can't remember off-hand how long it remains there once you post, though. If you can't find it and it's for a single work, like in the lit forums, just repost it. If it's for anything else, and it's important that you change it (like putting your full name in something where you shouldn't for internet safety), just drop me a line!

How do you get that donate option below your points?

I believe everyone has the donate option beneath their points. You can click it to give points to other members if you wish to do so. For example, I could donate you points or any other member for that matter by clicking it.

I know I'm getting a bit off tangent now, but it's a nice thing to donate points to people who need them for submitting stories, storybooks, poetry and whatnot.

Jane, if it's your post you need to delete there should be an edit button on the right corner just above that one post. You can hit the little x the is beside the edit button. It will ask if you want to delete the post and all you have to do it click yes.

You can't delete anything that other members have replied to -- if no one else has replied to it, there should be a delete symbol in the upper right hand corner of the topic. A mod can lock the topic, or you can edit your post so that it reads "deleted" instead of whatever it read as before.

How do you post pictures? Do you copy and paste them or add them as an attatchment?

You can add them as an attachment! There should be a button below each reply that allows you to post pictures. Not quick reply, mind you... you actually have to press "post reply" but once you do, you should see something that allows you to browse your files and pick a picture that you want, if it's on your computer.

If the picture you want to show off is on the internet, you can use this code:

How do i delete my account?

That isn't possible, only admins can delete accounts but if you really don't want it open, you can ask for the content of your posts to be deleted as you have so few but actual accounts are very rarely deleted.

Could any body suggest a good book for a bright nine year old writer on how to write?

I'd have to say Characters & Viewpoint by Orson Scott Card and Beginnings, Middles & Ends by Nancy Kress. They're pretty thin books, but I've gotten a ton out of them.
