Um, hi. I was wondering- how do you create a blog or a place where users can discuss a topic? I'm new (reletively). Thanks.

To create a blog, you hit the "blog control panel" under the "Blogs" button at the top of the page.

To creative a topic, it first depends what you want to talk about! We have a debate group you can join if that's your cup of tea, we have the infamous "randomness" forum where almost anything goes, and we have the lit. forums, where you can review others' work, and submit your own for review. Is there something specific you want to discuss? I can help you find the right place, if poking around a bit doesn't help! Just shoot me a PM!

When you are critiquing someone's work I have noticed that other people are able to pull quotes directly from the story and do some editing in nice little boxes. How do you do this? Also, what does PM mean and how does it work?

PM means private message. I'll give you a PM, and you should get the hang of it really quickly. ^_^

When you quote something, that means you put a special code around it. so:

Code
[quote]You look good[/quote]

This sucks.

becomes

You look good

This sucks.

Ack! Over the last couple days I've noticed that my PM's have stopped leaving my account. They just stay in the outbox. @_@ Help?

PMs stay in your outbox until they're read, when they move to the sent box! Unless they haven't been received, in which case that's weird (like, if you sent one to me, and I haven't gotten it/it's in the outbox and I've been online and have checked my messages!).

Ohhhhhhh, Okay. I get it. That would explain it then. ^_^ I've been sending PM's to someone that I know is offline. Alright, thanks, Mesh-chan!

Hey, I keep trying to welcome new members, but every time I look at the "joined" section, it says 2005! What is up with this?

There was some inappropriate bumping of old welcome threads recently so do check the join dates before adding a message.
