Really? Weird. O_O I guess this is what you miss out on when you're homeschooled and have no socialization.
Nothing to see here, puny mortals. Move along.

I was like that for a few years... Well, I socialized until fourth grade, then we moved and I didn't have any friends. None of my old friends stayed in touch. Now I'm in public school and doing fine... My mother used to threaten to send me to public school, it's actually kind of funny.

Yea... Homeschooled people unite in the wonderful communion of randomness!

I'm homeschooled. And there isn't anyone I can socialize with... except my siblings, and I don't think that counts. Therese is the closest thing I have to a friend, which, as I told her a few days ago, is quite depressing.

I don't. You aren't really missing much. If anything, living away from people is a blessing.

Well, as far as some people go you aren't missing much. But then there are the awesome people. The people you can just be yourself around and they wouldn't have it any other way. They're rare though so books are still great. And most of them seem to be on this site. These people are awesome.

Does the fact that I have no in real life friends where I live say anything about how I view people?

I have friends, but to be honest my friend group is more of a support group for "crazy" people. Everyone's crazy in their own way, why can't people just learn that we're normal and stereotypes are in our way.

To be honest, changing to being homeschooled is the best thing that ever happened to me. Public school was kind of hellish for me, because I'm queer, atheist, and live in a city of racist, bigoted jerks. And because I have a low threshold for stupid, I had a tendency to piss people off. The lack of socialization isn't really a big deal for me. 90% of the people there either ignored me or kind of hated me. Plus, I get all the socializing I need with you guys and the local Youth Theater. :3

I'm so glad I found this site. There are a lot of people that judge me at school, I ignore them. To them, I'm the crazy lady who knows a few too many torture methods... I need to know how to kill characters OK?

What's your favorite torture method though? Mine might be the rack... but of course there is getting hung, drawn, and quartered. That one is lovely, but isn't really torture.
