@Arkhaion that's right! Either you've heard it before or you're awesome at riddles!

@QueenOfHearts that's a good guess, and I would count that as a good clue! :)
Also, I love the cover. One thing, it's The Medousa Tree not Project. But I kind of like the project thing, so I think I'll keep that. It's kind of cool how a typo made it sound so much better! Thanks! :D

@QueenOfHearts I love the gate and the fence, though! They turned out looking so mysterious.

I allowed to ask for more than one?
Cause I loved the first one so much.
I have more riddles.

Okay, stupid phone. Make it say I allowed instead of Am I allowed. Wow.

Okay.
Title: When Dinner Turns Dangerous
Plot: A guy tries to impress his food savvy girlfriend by cooking them dinner for their fourth date, but he's not exactly what you'd call a domestic goddess. Hence the dish comes out charred and gooey and soup like. The kitchen is a huge mess. Something is moving in depths of the soup. Everything that could have gone wrong with the dinner did haha.
Setting: Just a little apartment kitchen, messy as stated above.
Characters: Sort of like the last one. A 20ish guy and 20ish girl. They're not really that important to the cover haha.
Color preferences: Nothing really specific, just have fun with it.
The kitchen or some really gross looking soup would be cool, but you can do what you want with it! :D

Riddle: You are on the ground floor and have 3 light switches next to you on the wall.
Upstairs there is a single lamp in a room. 1 of the switches controls the lamp but you don't know which one. You can flick any switch you want as much you want but you can only go upstairs ONCE to check on the lamp. What is a 100%, sure fire method to ascertain which switch operates the lamp?

If you clicked all the switches you wouldn't know which one was the one that operated the lamp. Only that one of them did, therefore giving you no new information.

Why not just go upstairs and take the lamp down with you? Or set up a machine to flick the switches?

Because the switch is connected to that particular outlet, so it needs to be connected to the one upstairs for it to turn on when the switch is flicked on.

I'm not sure what machine engineer you are that could make that robot haha. Let's pretend we're not that smart. :P

You guys are going to hate me once I tell you, I'm sure. It's sort of hard, but not really once you know the answer. Everyone always gets so mad when I tell this one.

Hello, I feel like chipping in:

You never said we were alone, and you only said that I was restricted to one flick. I go upstairs to watch the lamp, and the person downstairs flicks the switches until it comes on.

@Auxiira I guess you're right haha. That's not the actual answer, but I should have clarified you're alone.
Brownie points for noticing the loophole though. :)

I can tell you guys the answer as it was given to me if you want.

Wait I think I have the answer:

Spoiler
Flick one light on for ten minutes, then the second one, and then go up stairs. If the light bulb is warm, it was the first switch. If the light bulb is cool, but on, it was the second. If it is off, it was the third.

Is that right? Maybe?
