I have Sm4sh myself, and I usually play as either Ness or Lucas (they both have a lot of different moves for me to experiment with, they're small and agile, and very effective in general). I'd like to think I'm competent, because I've won more games than the rest of my family - even my older brother - but I'm probably just hyperactive and/or love to use every item I can get my hands on. <.<

@StupidSoup how did you play Melee while banning Marth and not Fox and Falco? XD I don't ban anyone though, it's funnier to try and beat up everyone with my dear Yoshi.
@Robusto Super Smash Bros is one of the field I fear NO ONE in. When we fight someday, you'll taste my power.
@TheSilverFox Have you tried playing without the item? It is much more challenging feom time to time, especially in Sm4sh where the items ARE OP (and also a riot). And, well well, I've won and lost several competitions of it. I actually won my 3DS copy of Sm4sh, so PLEASE allow me to eat your Ness and Lucas some day, I would love to try that :D Think of me as... A Twinkiel when I play.

Except that I have the speed of a Pikachu to pursue you around the field, whether you're on the ground or in the air. That is quite literally how I play, and as a result people either tell me that I'm cruel, or ask me how I learned to play like that, to which I reply: "Super Smash Melee. Fox and Falco level 9. For 7 years. Also, I have a brother. Who is worse that I am."

@Tortwag: I do believe I've tried to play without items in the past (yes, they are seriously OP. Fun to use, undoubtedly, but excessively powerful). Although I think I've only done that when fighting against CPUs, because the rest of my family would probably accuse me of taking away an advantage they might be able to use against me (but it honestly isn't my fault that it's so easy for me to push their characters off of cliffs and KO them. XD).

And sure! It'd be a lot of fun to fight against you, even if my loss is almost certain. I may also play as Mega Man occasionally, and sometimes even Yoshi, although I haven't quite figured out his moveset yet. As for your playing style, I'm not surprised in the slightest, especially given your experience. Mine, on the other hand is probably a tad heavy on destructive moves, but I'm usually unorthodox and random. Which is mostly because I can't usually form an effective strategy in a game in which I'm caught in a lot of action and fighting much of the time; I get excited and stressed too easily. XD

@TheSilverFox I get their point, I must admit XD Gosh, poor them.

Welp, I don't actually have a Wii U yet, so that'll have to wait. Unless you're willing to use Ness via PC in Super Smash Bros Crusade - and before you ask, behold:
Spoiler
phpBB [media]
- which plays exactly like an actual Smash Game. And I DO mean exactly. But you can see it in the video anyway. *checks video himself* Oh, right. Lucas is in there too. Neat.

Yes, of course you're not surprised of my playing style, I guess you kinda know me by now XD That and yeah, as I mentioned earlier, have 7 years of your life against Falco, Fox and Marth - which are programmed with inhumane reflexes as well as a will to kill you by any means necessary - and an agressive Captain Falcon for a brother, and that's pretty much what happenes. Then we switched to Brawl, but by then I had already developped my style: I simply needed to get used to Yoshi to compliment it (Dr.Mario was my main, back in Melee, then replaced by Yoshi in Melee, Brawl and Sm4sh).

...Destructive moves. *recalls Luca's Up-Smash* RIIIIIIIGHT. Welp, luckily for me, a good Yoshi is a destructive Yoshi, so that won't save you :3

Aaah. Well you kinda NEED to strategize if you need to survive in Smash, but really, I understand and cannot at all blame you XD I recently participated in a Smash-8 Tournament (6 of February, for my birthday) and managed to win twice by the skin of my teeth. But GOSH it was so amazing to try and survive for so long ^_^

I'm definitely not as good as you, Tort, but I like to consider myself a Smash superstar as well. I've played every smash, minus 4, and love Marth, Ike, Mario, Pikachu, Luigi, and Rob. I can put up quite a good fight myself, since I've lasted against three level nines before. I just don't get much practice anymore. :)

However the ultimate test of video games is perhaps the most infuriating. Mario Party. (3 or 4 were awesome ^^)

And can I just say a Smash Melee 2 v2 (Tort and me vs Silver and RoboCop) NEEDS TO HAPPEN!

@Tortwag: - Ah, right, the two versions of Sm4sh are not compatible with each other. Huh, I could've sworn they were, but a quick internet search has confirmed that, as far as battling goes, they don't mix. Well, that's disappointing.

- Wait...a PC game that plays exactly like a Smash Game? Woah, that's awesome. I should definitely see if I can't get the game myself. o-o

- And yes, I've been a part of this SB for over a year now, I do know you by now. At least, a little bit. :P

- Of course; most any character, if you become skilled enough at fighting with them, can serve as a destructive one. Even Yoshi. Sure, Lucas has a lot of more easily accessible destructive potential (especially with that up-smash, but I've also had a lot of fun manipulating several of his other moves to great effect), but, given your experience and strategy, I'm fairly sure you would easily defeat me. XD

-Hmm...I don't think I lack strategy completely, to be honest. I can't have gone as far as I've already done just by luck alone (at least, I'd like to think). I obviously have some kind of strategy in place, even if it is rudimentary, and even though I might not be fully aware of it. But, especially among the harder CPUs and opponents, a more effective and complex strategy is necessary, and that's something I'd definitely have to work on.

Wow, you won twice in a tournament? That's fairly impressive. o-o And few things are as exciting as that, I agree with you. XD

@Charizard821: *approves*

@StupidSoup Although Super Smash Flash 2 is awesome, it lack quite a lot of options compared to Crusade - well I play and enjoy both, anyway. Lloyd's my main in the latter, and Krystal and Klonoa are my mains in the former.

@Charizard821 Well I'm nothing compared to competitive-level Smashers, but I'm close to that level - according to them, at least - so I guess I'm a threat for a lot of people. Who's the character you used the most between all of these, Char?

Y'know, Mario Party... My personal favorite is actually the second one, but 3 has the best options and the best maps. BY FAR. (5 and 7 were also pretty darn cool, 5 especially with the amazing capsule system).

That, my friend, will only happen when we all meet, someday. In which case I'll bring forth my trusty gamecube controller, and the Wii that goes with it - Oh, and Melee, I guess, lol.

@TheSilverFox Yeah. Differences in graphics, options, and all.

-Yup, that exists! And the download link's in the video. We can play online and with PC/USB controllers (like my XBox one) or with the keyboard (which I am a master of as well), so send me a PM if you want a batlte partner to get the hang of the key binding and whatnot :)

- To be expected :3

- "Even Yoshi" sounds pejorative, but upon re-reading the sentence, I realize that you just included him in the lot. Nevermind that initial impression. And actually, Lucas DOES have a destructive potential that's more... developped, in a way, than Yoshi's, but not for the reasons you've listed - or at least, not only. But eh, you'll realize that when you master him more :3 Let's just say that some competitive Lucas on Youtube can REALLY inspire you. Some of which I was destroyed against.

-That's good to know. The hardest part, now, is to REALIZE what the heck you're doing, and one of the greatest way to do it is by recording your battles - they really did great adding that function). Once you know what you do, you can always adapt yourself to your opponent. Though if you struggle against Lv9 CPUs (maximum level, as we both know), and by that I mean, if you take, say... 4 to 6 minutes to beat them - 3 lives, no items - then yeah. You can't beat me. Not trying to brag here: before getting into tournaments, I had to put myself under a harsh training routine.

- And yeah, I won twice, but these were 8-smash stuff. In 4-Smashes and duels against single opponents, I ended up several times within the quarters to semi-finals, or not qualified at all. Once, I ended up in Finals against a Ganondorf with FLAWLESS defense, and he won 2-1. The next day, we realized that the next tournament was a Doubles one. So, We teamed up XD We essentially scared the heck out of everyone that had seen us fight in finals, and we tore them apart one by one until reaching the finals and lost against my rival: a Sonic user. Said Sonic user defeated me 4 times, one tournament a year, in both Brawl and Sm4sh... XD And he freakin' won again, too, though it was really a hard battle - that ended up in Doubles Sudden Death.

Yup. Exciting, alright :3

If it's actually the only game you actually play - and considering the notoriously bad community it has - they yeah, you're totally missing stuff, man! But you and Numbers/Soup mentioned really liking Halo, at some point. Don't you play that, too?

This is way overdo. Tort I've decided not to post this. Lets just keep it here.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For Tortwag; A Corner of Heaven

This is a corner of heaven here.

A bittersweet sky stretches to the horizon,

tickling the toes of the quiet dawn as it rises through the clouds.

This is a corner of heaven here.

And the dewy grass softly sways to the beat of the past.

Whistling as the wind weaves through their roots,

Searching for a warm shadow slowly fading by the light of the slow ascending sun.

A shadow of love.

Yes this is a corner of heaven here

Where the gray clouds give way to a new day

And the rays of lazy light lap at the shores of this quilted corner.

Where dreams whisper to sun the names of the wind.

''Call me love''

''Call me death''

''Call me Trinity.''

Spoiler
Tortwag, I'm going to be real for a minute. I don't know you, I don't know the challenges you face, I don't even know your name. But in a way, I don't need to know who you are. In all human beings their is a common humanity. Emotions of compassion, love, and understanding reside in all of us, and for the few years I've known you, I can say for a fact that your compassion, your love, and your understanding show like a ray of light in the dark. Tortwag, in the few years of knowing you I can only say one thing. You shine, and from what I can see, no bully, no notion of racism, and no setback, no matter how big, can smother your light. Its been an honor to meet you Shell Master.

@Poopsie... I've always known you and your brother had a deeper side than that which you usually present to the world, but why have you hidden such a beautiful poem away for so long? The hardcore poets could tell you how to improve - heaven knows I can't - but you don't have to be self-conscious. If points are an issue, I'll gladly donate some; I have more than enough.
