Also, something really lovely just happened (I'm being sarcastic). My mother just updated the operating system of the computer I use for drawing, and now my graphics software is all glitchy, and my tablet runs slow. I will definitely still take on the picture, but I'm not sure if I can pull off the official art style if I can't see what I'm drawing as I'm drawing it.

So... should I do a traditional, sketch-style drawing (this would most strongly resemble the official artwork), or something using my vector tools?

Holy jeez.... I thought we were over this guys, come on. @AstralHunter, @Tortwag, I think you're just being a liiiitle too harsh to @Verser here, and as a result, @15253 is in a bomb shelter and @Robusto and @Buggiedude2340 are trying to keep the peace. Let's all just stop for a minute and breathe. Now everybody be quiet and listen.

Firstly, I side with Verser on the Ursaring and Gardevoir. I know an Ursaring is a natural born fighter and a Gardevoir is like, the kindest soul ever, but that doesn't mean we can think of all those Pokemon like that. That's stereotyping. I recently had a conversation with somebody about a diabetic Snorlax. Now tell me that doesn't defy everything we know about Pokemon. I made a mischievous Gengar into one of the kindest Guardians around. Tell me that doesn't defy what we know. My point is, it IS NOT impossible for these Pokemon to be what they are. So I think you guys may have slightly overreacted.

Moving on, I think I see what's wrong with the electricity. Verser merely had poor word choice, and do you blame him? No, it happens to the best of us. A quick sentence edit, and we've cleared up this problem.

Lastly, I side with Hunter and Tort on the aura thing. Verser, I think what these guys are trying to say is that it's simply impossible for Frost to read aura. Even if he could pick up the presence of someone with psychic power, he can't do it with aura. I think a good reference to make here is to Toph, from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Toph is a blind Earthbender and Metalbender. She, however, is able to see if she is touching the ground, as her Earthbender abilities allow her to sense vibrations through the Earth. She also picks up people and things this way. It's the same for Frost. Though neither of them used aura, they were able to depict others they could not otherwise see through use of extrasensory powers. Therefore, I think if you merely remove the part that talks about aura and replace it with Frost's extrasensory power, we'll be hunky-dori. (Markiplier reference.)

the Ursaring could be weak compared to the captains, that totally makes sense. But I asked if hr couldn't help Frost at least a little, and you didn't answer that.
And I did listen to your logic, but I'm not exactly sure if you listened to mine.
For example, did you read the link I sent you? It's not even long or anything, it's meant to be helpful.

I know that Pokemons aren't necessarily what they naturally described as, I'mdoing that. Look at Twinkiel. And even Plasmya for that matter. A Gengar wouldn't waste time chatting the way she did. And look at the way Astral portrayed Registeel for example.
That and I stopped mentioning the Gardevoir a long time ago.
Finally, a wrong choice of words, you say. Well yes, that could be, but... Why wasn't that said 4 pages ago, when we originally asked what was it all about? And why did Verser said that I should be blamed for it, if it was just a word mistake? I'm fine if it's just that, but I'm sure this situation would've been over if all the questions asked had been answered a few pages ago.

@Verser, be very, very careful with what you plan on saying next. I have been reasonable thus far and tried to be polite in asking you to clarify matters, but all you have been doing is making excuses and defending yourself, even though Tortwag and I have said (on multiple occasions) that we simply have the greater good of the storybook in mind. Now, don't hide behind your brother - you made the post, not him, so you should be one to correct it.

1. Anyway, while I still don't agree with your usage of a Gardevoir as a slave trader, I better understand why you used one now, and I can appreciate the irony. Thank you for the explanation.

2. I also appreciate that you finally explained the Ursaring too, but in future, just keep in mind that certain Pokémon are more appropriate for certain roles than others, e.g. it would not be commonplace if a Salamence or a Houndoom suddenly decides to be a fireman. Then again, a Salamence might be ashamed of how other Salamances react, which is why he did join the fire department. It's irony, and since it's a very important writing technique, I accept it.

3. Where does the Psychic fit into the story? Obviously Frost can use it, since he is, after all, part Psychic type, but what Tort and I had wanted to be clarified is the electricity that came along with it. But anyway, you have removed that part, so I shall thank you for that as well.

4. Don't accuse me of not reading posts, for I have read everyone's, even when it doesn't concern my character. All of your characters fascinate me enough that I actively await new posts from them and then enthusiastically read them, which is half the fun of being in a storybook.

5. Finally, the aura is explained, but now I must ask you something: Have you ever heard of motion-detecters? I have, and since they actually exist, I assumed Frost's psychic webs work much in the same way - after all, a spider can't sense auras, they sense movement. However, it seems that Frost picked up energy, which is heat, so saying they are "webs" aren't really appropriate, since machines that detect changes in heat would rather employ beams.

And ta da! There's your answer to the whole aura story: auras are a very specific kind of energy that generates fields of light around a person/animal/plant (yes, plants have auras, although they're usually just grey), so while Frost is physically incapable of learning to see or use those - Victinis can't learn Aura Sphere or pulse moves via levelling up, TM or move tutor - he can still use heat, obviously, and detecting the heat another Pokémon gives off is just as efficient in battle or for being alerted.


@15253, thank you for trying to alleviate the tension a little, but don't get sarcastic with me. I am a serious kind of person for the same reason you are a light-hearted kind of person, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate spontaneity - I simply wish for there to be accuracy. You'll see that as soon as things have been resolved, we'll get on perfectly again.

If I get into an argument with somebody, nothing annoys me more than when a third party tries to intervene. Although I appreciate that they have both parties' best interest in mind, I believe both I and the other party are mature enough to resolve the situation on our own. And yes, there probably will be conflict, since it's integrated into human nature, but isn't it the best thing when there's conflict, people fight for a while, and then they emerge with a stronger relationship than before?

(Also, whenever there has been a large lapse between my last post and the most recent one, I start from mine and work all the way to end, commenting about the posts as they appear, and editing those comments as is suitable.)

I shall say this again, just so everyone is aware of it: I am satisfied with the answers I have received, and I am willing to move on.

There's nothing like going outside at 8:25 in the morning in 41 (Fahrenheit) degree weather with your little brother to enjoy Nature's sights and sounds. Except for when the ducks appeared to be threatening us by flying over us repeatedly, the whole thing was therapeutic. .

We.. Never stopped being comrades. Or friends, for some. Honestly I don't think I ever heard of any grouped collaboration without conflict. Especially in SBs.
Thar aside, I'll probably say more when I'm home, as I currently am standing in the middle of the street, alone, with an umbrella and a nasty rain.

@Tortwag, that sounds like the beginning of an old black-and-white TV drama. I'm just imagining you monologuing something with a soft piano in the background. It's got a sort of dark beauty to it.
