I created Terraria so that each team had a central place they had to travel through before they reach the next area they're going to. If Frost and his team are heading towards an ice mountain, they would need to leave the jungle and travel through Terraria first.
@AstralHunter Personally I can only post the weekends and eventually Wedesday, which is what I planned to do. That aside, let's dig into your post.
I kind of assumed they had traveled for several days in Verser's post, which totally ties to your concern about time and distance. Then, I believe that something that would fix the distance/places problem: that would be a rough Map of the world. With it, we'd be able to clearly see where everything is and how we should be able to go to that specific place. At the same time, this map must be rough because we could be adding new locations as the SB goes, so yeah. It would be like a Miracle Map.
I assume we should mention how time has passed in our different posts and ince the Legendaries are always (or most of the time) in mental contact, they could be our time trackers, explaining what the others are doing, etc. Like "So Celebi, what's new?" "Cresselia and the others appear to be stuck in the Crevasse. It's been 2 days since they reached the place." What if we had some kind of external chroniquer who would act as the time tracker, a dude who'd explain what our characters have been doing, when and where? As in: "And now, let's get our eyes back to Riley's group. Last time we saw them, they did this, this and this. Now, here they are, donig this," etc. Would that fix the time issue?
@Robusto Ah. Well then, that's the next place we have to go to then. @Verser Heard that? Looks like you have to change your post completely, thus saving the big twist reveal for later!

"Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life? How will I know if I've gone too far? And why did I spend my life savings on sunglasses for a whale? I shall find the answers... to these questions."
@Robusto, so Terraria is like a very long corridor and the other regions are all doors connected to it? Or is it more like a circle with the other regions bordering its diameter, almost like a star?

Winter is inevitable. Spring will return eventually, and AstralHunter with it.
@Robusto, if you're not sure how to go about drawing a map yourself, I would be happy to work with you on that.

That would be much appreciated @Buggiedude2340. If you have any questions, just send me a message with them and I will respond. And @AstralHunter, it's more like a circle with the other regions surrounding it.
.....@AstralHunter I think your putting to much thought into this ._. just write your post and say its right after @Charizard821. Boom, problem solved.

Actually, I have a pretty detailed response to this, @AstralHunter. Firstly, I believe the timing to get to the Northern Plains was messed up from the beginning. If what I read was correct, it takes approximately one day without sleep to reach the Northern Plains from the Greatwood Jungle. (Approximately eight to twelve hours.) This leads me to believe that the Greatwood Jungle is close to the equator, which would make the Continent stretch from pole to pole, as it is not the southmost part. This brings me to the second point. The way I've mapped it out is this. The Greatwood Jungle is in the eastern part of the Continent, sitting on the equator, with Frontier Town a little ways northwest. Cobalt Bay is directly west from Frontier Town, making it Southwest from the Northern Plains, which are obviously north of the above three. I also believe it is the largest area in the Continent, but for the most part is directly north of Frontier Town. Mt. Providence, I assumed, was a mountain located even farther north of the Northern Plains, on the highest point of the Continent. I had assumed that Mt. Icewind would be neighbouring this mountain, as the name indicates it is located in a cold environment (i.e. the Northern Plains.) This means that it is some ways East of Mt. Providence, which would make sense seeing as Greatwood is east of Frontier Town, and Twinkiel and Frost are headed north. The Marsh of Light would be northwest of Greatwood and southeast of Frontier Town, so in between the two. As for the Great Crevice, I'd assume this was southeast of Frontier Town, (just because there's really been no further info about it.) Finally, I believe the Land of the Dead is southmost of the Continent, as when Gabriel and Xerneas left, they flew North to Frostpoint Village. Of course, this would make Xerneas significantly faster than Articuno, seeing as they reached it first, but it makes sense as Articuno was stopped to interact with Yveltal and pick up Flurry and Shaymin. If you guys are having a hard time picturing this, think of it a bit as the Kalos Region, with Frontier Town right smack in the center. As for time, I've seen in the past where authors have time pass in one character's POV, and then switch to another's to relive that specific time period in their eyes, so I don't believe timing will be a problem. What do you guys think of all this?

Also guys, @15253, I get where Hunter is coming from. It's vital for the sake of the story to have all the locations worked out when we write in settings. Thankfully, I'd had this in mind the whole time, although I really should have posted the above earlier. ^ I'll help out with the map if you like.

edited, it took a few days because of thigh deep snow and very, very cold weather? Lets not focus to much about the reality of things in a fantastical storybook, the point is we got to Mt Icewind and now we gonna get eaten by kyurem unless we do something. That said, who posts next ^^
P.S: For the Terraria im getting a picture of the entralink.
I disagree @Verser. In Pokémon, the most essential thing about the story is the location of the next town or city, specifically the Pokémon Gym, which makes region and town placement key. It's why the Town Map (or Area Nav plus now,) is so vital to it all. It's an intricately worked web. Maybe for other things, I would agree, but not Pokémon. This story needs definite locations.
@Charizard821 That's actually pretty helpful I think, thanks a ton for that. Welp, I guess we'll just keep going AFTER a rough idea of the map has been drawn, and apparently Buggie and Robusto are already at it, so I guess we'll just have to be patient. And yeah, I agree with Charizard an Astral here. If we don't have a clear idea of where is everything, it might get very very messy. Pokemon especially has LOADS of info dump: it's a fantasy world that works with many things at the same time, and we unfortunately can't ignore it. Even the side games have their own maps, goals and infos to take in account.

@Charizard821 To be fair, even the main series show that. Knowing where you can grind, chasin g a legendary across the ENTIRE region, know where to find specific items using the map, clues about where to catch idle legendaries, etc. So many things that involve specific locations. Sure it was a pain, but hey at least they give you a map in every single game of those.
