@TheSilverFox You do realize I don't have anymore time to dedicate myself to games, right? Last school year, remember? IT'S PAINFUL T_T
Uprising's your favorite game? Sure, good choice, but I'm surprised you have such a recent game in mind. In my Top Favorites I'd probably have Mystery Dungeon 2 (started with that one), Crash CTR, Crash Bash, Super Smash Bros Melee, Starfox Assault, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Sunshine, Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc, oh and Mario Strikers Charged Football, Pokemon Emerald... God, so many choices. I don't think I have a definite favorite. I just usually choose SUper Smash Bros Melee by default, because I have the most memories/playtime with this one.

@Charizard821 The Sun's Cage thing on Ricco Harbour? The complexity of this puzle actually made my day, one beacuse Ricco Harbour's music ALWAYS cheered me up, and two because... Man... The satisfaction you feel when you complete it...
My favorite world was actualy Sirena Beach as well, mostly because; see, me and my bro shared a slot, and we randomly discovered stuff as we progressed in the game. One day, my bro was away, and I discovered the hotel's world by screwing around with Yoshi. I was SO SCARED and SO EXCITED went I met Phantamanta ^_^ Representation of one of my favorite animal ever, AND a creepy version of it.
btw, the whole hotel and the manta are based on the Shinning. Read the book, you'll get it.
And no you didn't butcher any of the names, actually. Congrats.
Yes, the eel was... Ugh... I didn't have that much trouble with it, actually, but going in a boss' super dark mouth to beat it is... NOT my idea of havin' fun.
Hey, d'you remember Il Piantissimo? That guy you were supposed to race several times? Annoying, but challenging.

@Verser the main thing that appalled me in this scene was that those parents ACTUALLY called their children Frost. It's amazin'.

@Charizard821 Nah, that backstory's not enough for me to fall into gleeful laughter. It's just... sad. So yeah, not affected yet. And before someone asks, no, I DON't plan Twinkiel's backstory to be anymore crazy than Gabriel's experience or Frost's super sad traumatized childhood. He's insane by default, anyway, so as warning, I'd say that the main issue in Twinkiel's backstory isn't going to be the ones around him... But rather... Twinkiel himself... The others are nothing more than a simple, deliciously well-placed trigger...
Awwwwwwwww, gosh. I am going to have loads of fun with that one.

@Tortwag, Il Piantissimo is my LEAST FAVOURITE CHARACTER. MAH GAWD that guy was annoying! Like, he's a HUMAN! I was always raging because he managed to fool everyone else into thinking he was a Pianta. And he wasn't even that good... My favourite episodes were always episode 7, where you'd run into Shadow Mario. They weren't very challenging, but they were exciting! One of the other most challenging levels was the watermelon competition on the beach. I spent forever on that one! And yes, the Ricco Harbour theme always made my day, too! My OTHER favourite game is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Nintendo: Wii. Never before was there a game that made upgrading your powers so fun. I can't count how many times I've beaten it, and when I learned there were multiple endings, I almost died! No joke, I had beaten the game something like 8 times, and the whole time I thought that you could only fight The Emporer. The ninth time, however, I saw Vader standing there, weak, and I approached him. Next thing I know I'm in an all-new battle that I'd never heard of before, and a cool cutscene played afterwards! I re-discovered the beauty of that game last day. (I also unlocked that ONE multiplayer character I could never find, which was another form of Starkiller.)

@Charizard821 That's precisely why I like him. He acts as a rival, and his personality perfectly reflects that. Since Gary/Blue/Green from Pokémon, I'm always looking forward to annoying rivals so i can tear them apart, especially if they put up a good fight.
Also, Il Piantissimo IS good. As in... really really good. Have you ever tried coming back to his levels and beating him without Fludd? 'Cause I did. And lemme tell ya, he's NO pushover. Not to mention, d'you know who he is? If you remove his mask through hacking his model, youc an actually see his face. And he's none other the undefeatable Running Man from the Legend of Zelda.
Spoiler
Image

He's acutally much more of a challenge than Shadow Mario when you play him for the second and 3rd time. Especially if you don't use FLUDD. But yeah, encountering Shadow Mario every time was great, mostly because his music is.
Oooooo :O I never played any Star Wars game, but I know that a few are pretty good. Nice! Another fav game I have for the Wii personally would be the Skylanders series. And before you ask, yes, i knew the original Spyro trilogy, and YES, they were better Spyro games. but Skylanders is its own series that are USING Spyro for themselves (which is jsut as bad, I'll give you that), but at leas thteir series is great. The writing is amazing, they have Richard Horvitz for their villain (AKA Invader Zim's voice), the Upgrate system is fairly entertaining, and each game is harder than the previous one. No really, they are. I'm serious.
Oooooooh, that's nice! Havin' a Vader cameo and all, that's pretty neat! Especially if you get to fight the guy. Darn, it's so nice when games put satisfying stuff like that solely for the player to enjoy himself.

No way! That's crazy! Anyways, it's actually pretty easy beating him without FLUDD. Just spam the jump dive and you'll slide way faster than him. I don't know, for me it only took a few attempts to beat that guy. No... My favourite racing rival HAS to be Cosmic Mario from the original Super Mario Galaxy. Man, racing him was always a thrill. He wasn't easy, and boy was he cocky. I always wanted to see the look on his face when I beat him. And yeah, you NEED to play it! Dude, it's set between Episodes 3 and 4, where Darth Vader abducts the son of a Jedi that he kills, and trains him as his apprentice to betray the Emporer. It's so full of amazing cutscenes and plot twists, there are tons of levels that take about half an hour each to beat, and amazing boss battles with characters like Master Rahm Kota, Darth Desolus, Darth Phobos, Maris Brood and even Sh'aak Ti! With an eerie soundtrack to boot, full of malice and distrust. Oh, you would love it. It would easily become one of your favourite games. Did I mention the Wii remote is your lightsaber? I know, it's been done before but you've NEVER seen controls quite as responsive as that. And the force powers? Here are a few: Sith Rage, Force Pummel, Repulse and Maelstrom. I LOVE IT!!!

@Charizard821 I KNOW, RIGHT?!
And nonono. That's what I meant. It IS easy to beat him even without Fludd. But that's when you get the shine. HAve you ever tried coming back after that? What I mean by that is that he functions just like the running man. Each time you beat him, his new record is YOURS, which means that he gets better every time you beat him. See what I mean?
And yes the Cosmic Mario is amazing, ESPECIALLY the gravity snow-skatin' race. That one was AMAZING.
...Wait... It's that one? I think I've seen a few playthroughs of that one! That's part of the good Star Wars games I was thinkin' about! With decent story, cool gameplay and great music! Darn, YES I must play it! Especially with the description you're makin' of it. I need to rewatch the Star Wars franchise first though.
BUT WAIT!!! Have you played... Or do you know... Tales of Symphonia?!

@15253 What? Never had a chit-chat about nostalgic moments of your chidlhood? :smt003

Anesthesiologist? Come over here, please? I need to sleep for a few hours. O_O.

It wasn't sad, Verser, but it went and scared the daylights out of me. O_O

Ah well, I think I'll read some comic strips. XD

I can't catch up with you two, @Tortwag and @Charizard821. You guys are obviously conspiring against me, because that's how the world works. :P

And yes, I do enjoy a lot of more recent games, and rank them among my favorites. Reasons? Well, I can't say I've been the world's biggest video game fan. My older brother is much more into them than I could ever be. Nonetheless, some of my favorite games are retro. For instance, my favorite RPG? EarthBound. That is one of the funniest games that I have ever played, because the plot is so enthralling, and I never expected that game to kick me in the rump so hard. XD. I fainted at least 5 times, and I'm not even at the first Guardian yet, much less Gigyas (stupid gang leader and your annoying robot. You both ruined me. :P). XD.

I'm sorry to say I don't own many emulators. I have one for the GBA and sometimes play A Link to the Past and A Minish Cap (after that incident I don't want to talk about) on it. You get to play old Smash games? Darn! I have to get one of those. :D. But yeah, some of my favorite games are retro, and one of my favorite has to be A Link to the Past. I've seen my brothers play it so many times, and have done it before, and I've learned to appreciate the glorious plot, and those fun graphics.

Oh, and my younger brother managed to exploit a glitch and access the Palace of the Four Swords. That was so awesome. :D.

I do have Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, as it happens. I have to admit, though - Luigi's Mansion is far cooler. I wish I could have that game. The ghostly characters is fascinating, because each of these ghosts have personalities. The ones in Dark Moon are pretty generic, though they do some funny things every now and then. Slim Bankshot, Jarvis, Henry and Orville, their parents, Chauncey...what a cast of characters! Most of all, it's up to shy Luigi to save the day, which, in a way, is sort of inspiring and fun. If there's a game I want, that has to be it. It's such a fun game, with a lot of great characters, and it incorporates so many aspects that Dark Moon doesn't have, and I definitely want to get Luigi's Mansion when I can.

Oooh, I know a friend at the last site I used to visit often who was a huge fan of Super Mario Sunshine. I enjoyed everything he read and created based on that game, and it has to be one of my favorite Mario games of all time. Yay, Phannamanna! Try saying that over and over again; it has a fun rhythm. :P Phannamannaphannamannaphannamanna...sorry. :P

Yeah, that's a game that I also want to get, because I know that I'm going to enjoy it. Seeing Bowser Jr. as Shadow Mario is a nice touch, and it is such a unique experience compared to any other of the Mario series games. FLUDD is super cool, and Il Piantissimo is annoying. XD. This time, he won't beat you by a second! :P That's super fun, and I know about the hack revealing his face is that of the Running Man. I have to admit, the developers added such an awesome touch that I never imagined. No wonder the Pianta find him creepy. XD The game sounds awesome, the bosses sound incredible (Gooper Blooper! Wooo!), and I wish I could have that game. :D

Some of my favorite games? Pokémon White Version....EarthBound...Mario Kart 8....Kid Icarus: Uprising....The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past...The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker...Fire Emblem: Awakening. Yeah, a lot of modern titles, I know. :P I've played probably about 20-30 video games, and I know a lot of other friends who've played a lot of their own. Personally, my favorite series has to the Pokémon series. Between me and my older brother, we have just about every single Pokémon in existence, including almost all of the Legends. However, my favorite game music-wise is definitely The Wind Waker. The songs are always incredible, though brief, and I enjoy the Wind God's Aria most of all. Too bad we already left Makar...:C.

How's that for nostalgia, eh?

See you around! :D

Poor @15253. Poor @TheSilverFox. But for different reasons. XD

@Tortwag, OH! I see! That sounds amazingly difficult! And that race from Galaxy was my favourite too, in the lava/ice world! Skating against Cosmic Mario with a black hole under you was terrifying and exhilarating! Especially when also trying to collect the star bits! And yes, you absolutely must play that game! It's my second favourite of all time. Also, I have not heard of Tales of Symphonia. But did you ever play Sonic Riders or the original Mario Strikers for the GameCube? Two great games!

I am inching through the post guys! I keep getting into writing it, but then school cuts me off with the bell or homework. But it IS on its way! Prepare the toast! (But not for Silver or 15253. They mean.) No, this time I'll make toast to the post and nostalgia. Tortwag, I'ma celebrating with you this time!

@Charizard821: I'm not that bad, right? I saw it coming, and I knew @15253 was going to take the toast and have it for himself. :P. Therefore, I 'surprised' him. :P.

Ah well, if I have to toast anything, it's the YWS and my formerly innocent childhood. Who to toast with? If it's 15253, I'm preparing the tar. :P.

@TheSilverFox, Luigi's Mansion was and still is simply incredible to me. The exploration... The gallery ghost's personalities, the thrill of capturing them and reading about them, and stopping a boo from travelling through the walls.... I love it so much! And all the secrets in that game! Like Sue Pea, the bed wetter. (XD Sue Pea? You pee? Get it? Get it?) But even better than the actual game are the theories around it, like the Luigi Suicide Easter Egg, and the Bowser IS King Boo theory. And the Beta? My gawd, that game would have scared the living crap outta me. No joke, it's pretty freaky. I'll pull up a link for you guys.

@15253 Hey, nobody here plays S4 League, Spiral Knights and Talesrunner besides me, and I'm not complaining.
I... I'm just crying in the inside T_T
And no, I haven't. The Halo games are a GREAT series, but I could never buy myself an Xbox.

@Charizard821 Exactly. He's insanely difficult post-game, I had loads of fun testing my acrobatic skills against him.
And that ice/ava skating session with Cosmic Mario, man... I loved it, I re-did it so many times, the music, the intensity of the first time... God. Everlasting memory, that one.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH, MY GOD SONIC RIDERS. YES. DUDE! The Eclipse Desert with Jet! IMPOSSIBLE! I did it over and over and over and over again SI MANY FREAKIN' TIMES, you have no idea XD And the original Strikers, entitled Mario Smash Football, of course I played it, but it's nowhere near as fun as the second one, imo. 2 amazing games indee.
And, um... Tales of Symphonia. Get this game. Story, music, gameplay, complexity, EVERYTHING. Get this game. I'm... I'm insanely serious right now. I'll use some of that game's music on this SB one of these days, but seriously man. Get. Tales.Of.Symphonia. If you like plot twists, that's for you. If you like exploring and bein' rewarded for it, that's for you. SO many side-bosses and insane side-quests, weapons, character development... Dude, this game... Oh, god. ANother part of my childhood I'll never forget. Except it can never happen again because my brother stopped playin' games.

@TheSilverFox Can't catch up with us because YOU NEED TO BUY BETTER NOSTALGIA GOGGLES.
Well there's nothing wrong with having recent games as favs, anyway. Mario Kart Wii is by far my favorite Mario Kart experience (Double Dash right next to it), and I have very good reasons for that. And Starfox Assault is not really a retro game. It's kinda old now, but not retro.
And... It's...Phantamanta... >: ( I will remain picky on that one. Fun fact: she's called Megamanta in French. Why, I have no idea.
And actually, dar Piantissimo can totally beat you by a second after you get the shine. As I explain: he gets better every time you beat him.
...Like a true Saiyan...
References aside, I actually HATE Gooper Blooper. I know he's easy and all, but his face was one of the scariest things I had ever seen when I was 6.
...And then I met the Knaaren. Just... The Knaaren. Oh god. I am scarred for life because of them.

Yes Pokémon White is great, especially storywise, but I prefer black, not because I'm black myself (yesIamactuallythemostracistpersonaroundhereMUHAHAHAHA), but because TECHNOLOGY.
And I don't think I ahve a favorite series. Super Smash Bros got me into crossovers, and it taught me one important thing: don't make too many choices. Just... Like video games. Dot. I have favorites from everywhere, personally.

That's nice nostalgia, congrats! But I could flood you with a Nostalgic Wave with Smash Bros Melee ALONE (I'm not even exaggerating, played the game for what, 9 years?). And you don't want that to happen :)

@Charizard821: Sue Pea is gross. XD. I love the way you actually wake her up. That's hilarious. XD. Ooooh, some crazy theories. I got learn more about those, such as the Bowser/King Boo one. Imagine what would happen if you played a Mario game of an entirely different theme than Luigi's Mansion and that happened. O_O. With a game featuring ghosts, I wouldn't be surprised that they ended up with some scary beta versions. O_O. Yeah, I look forward to seeing that link. :D

@Tortwag: It's not my fault I need better nostalgia glasses because my memory is shot and I'm crazy! Well, maybe it is....nevermind! :P. About face, and march! *runs into a wall*

I'm sorry to say I haven't played S4 League, Spiral Knights, or Talesrunner, but I do have the same feeling. There are some games I've played, and I've hardly ever met anyone else who has played the same game, and it often drives me crazy or makes me a little sad. :C

Saiyan? Oh no, does that bring back memories....though I let you continue the topic so I can be sure we're on the same page. :P.

Oh, and my older brother chose Pokémon Black Version, so I hope that satisfies you. :P. We've been repeating that pattern ever since those two games. I have White 2, X, and Alpha Sapphire - he has Black 2, Y, and Omega Ruby. I always laugh at him when one of the two versions that I chose is more popular on the Nintendo EShop. XD. Oh, good times (except when he gets mad. Bad times, I tell you, Bad times! :P)

I will fight thee back with my nostalgia wave! I played Mario Kart DS for a good 9 years! :D. Prepare to be bested! :P

@TheSilverFox Somethin' tells me that your madness is quite different from mine. Verser's story scared you.
...It didn't really affect me (thought it was well-written and shocking, that's for sure). But then again I guess it's normal, considerin' I'm the mind behind Twinkiel.
The "I'm the only one who plays this" situation is somethin' that doesn't affect me anymore, mostly because it's online, and I meet people anyway. And in those 3 games, I'm having so much fun that I don't mind. That and a few friends joined me in Spiral Knights. Which is a game you should play, Silver, because it plays strikingly similarly to a Zelda game. I am serious. And it also has an actual decent story. You can look it up, or I'll just provide you with a link.

Yes, Saiyan. DBZ. Most people know that reference. "we saiyans grow stronger with every fight", yadda yadda. Anyone with a similar ability gets that comparison XD
I acutally started with White because I wanted Zekrom (TECHNOLOGYYYYYYY), that and I don't mind nature that much, because animals ftw.
Wait, bad times cause he gets mad? Heh. My bro teased me all the time, I got mad all the time, and he enjoyed it. Fun fact: that's one of the reasons why I became good at video games. The desire to beat the reccurent jerk who provocated me every time, AKA my bro.

I played Mario DS for 3 years straight, Mario Kart Super Circuit for 5, and Mario Kart Wii for 6! To this day! Plus, I have the custom tracks. 240 new tracks ONLY for Mario Kart Wii, that can be installed via installing a customized channel on your Wii, and it works online. With good players only, since noobs don't know about the custom tracks.
Enjoy THAT nostalgia wave :D
