I guess they'll just be NPCs, for now. If Pinkie is gone, then killing her character would be fine, I guess... Gosh, that sounds so morbid! But it would be realistic, and Pinkie never seemed very interested in this Storybook, anyway.

No, I'm not serious, r4p... It's so sad that someone could hate YWS so much...

And, in the end, her dragon shall "leave," too. *Evil laugh* James, what did you have in mind?

@Wolfie36, when you read it, you will realise what I meant earlier when I spoke of Ghost sending a distress call. Now, obviously the entire party will be woken by it, perhaps first thinking it was some freak nightmare, but when everyone realises they had the same vision, they will (pretty please...?) go off in search of Ghost immediately.
So, I thought, What if some other, more sinister being also hears his distress call? It can even be @TheWanderingWizard's dwarven antagonist who then sends a party to investigate, but it can also be anything else. Either way, when the MC's arrive at the cave to help Ghost, the other sinister being/s can arrive as well. The six dragons then engage this foe, and Gene is killed during the struggle.
Not only will this turn of events (excuse the cliché) provide a plausible way of eliminating Gene, but it will also grant Pinkie's character a far more honourable death than she deserves. It will also create a perfect time for Ghost to join the party, as he can then take her place.
The only problem is that Ghost has to be carried around, so one of the stronger dragons will have to do it - Cynder is poisonous, Glamdor is spiky, Kirimbi is too fragile, and Gene is dead, so the burden has to be borne by either Ramur or Thoren. (Sorry @Wolfie36 or @r4p17)
Ghost's replacement of Gene can then also provide for an interesting conflict. His carrier can either resent having to carry him, or they can become best friends. Concerning the others in the party, they could resent Ghost's appearance because they might have been fond of Gene, and she died because of him. On the contrary, they might also welcome him because of his psychic abilities. What do you think?
EDIT: Oooor... Maybe Ramur (sorry, Wolfie, I am using an example) can carry Ghost until Jura comes into the story. Ghost can then save his life somehow, which leads to Jura befriending and carrying him. (This is just another suggestion.)

I'm all for the death! Gene wasn't actually present that much. Sure she was there but at the same time she wasn't a part of the main group really. No one knew her xD So they probably wouldn't resent him for that (but who knows.)
When it comes to Cryssi reacting to Ghost, she will probably not be the nicest ever to him. He'll probably be the target of her bluntness and sarcasm since he seems useless to her (because she cares about physical attributes rather than mental ones and personality, etc.)
I know this is a little off topic, But if anyone has any questions about the rockies please let me know, I'll look out my window. And just a side not: I'm not that fragile, just careless. It's all what's going on upstairs.

@JamesHunt, magnificent post! The relationship between the two brothers was so incredibly sweet and Ghost was personified very well. And the ending was so powerful!
Is it proper that Ramur hears a voice at the end of the post? Would it be a good idea if I changed it to him hearing Ghost's plea for help, instead?
I agree, Ramur should carry Ghost. Out of all the dragons, as you all have deduced, he seems the most appropriate.

@Wolfie36, I would very much appreciate it if you would be willing to edit your post to include Ghost's plea - perhaps even adding how everyone else hears it as well. I apologise for causing you such trouble. And thank you for the compliment! ^^

I'm for it too. Only I want to know who kills her. That sounds evil. Anyway, I suggest that the dwarves collide with the dragons and everyone fights-but Gene does not make it out alive. Or someone from our group could kill her, though that might not be honorable. That is my opinon, we can decide as a group. Continuing with my previous post, anyone who hasn't gone recently needs to go. I want to go again too.
