I'm glad you decided to join us. If you want to improve, we have a system on here called The Buddy System: clubs/1127/forum where we pair up an older user with a new member in order to spread the knowledge. We have quite a few mentors who are still looking for someone to mentor if you want to stop by and check it out.

What is it you like to write?
Poetry, short stories, prose, novels, other?

I don't really have a specific medium of writing. I suppose short stories or novels. I'm more into illustrating/drawing, so I have made a few comics/graphic novel type things. But thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to YWS, Evan! I'm Noni and I also admit to not being the best writer, but YWS has certainly helped me improve. I also recommend the buddy system that Aley pointed to. There are some great people in there.
As for you liking drawing / illustrating a lot, the Art and Photography (A&P) section has a few artists and people who review art. xXTheBlackSheepXx is a well-known name in there.

Hi, Evan! Welcome! I'm 'ArcticMonkey', but that's rather long so I'll leave it to you to pick a nickname for me . If you like writing you're bound to really love it here because I've found that this site has helped me with my writing greatly (more than school ever has) and it's just a really nice site for meeting fellow writers. I've met some amazing people on here and you will too.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or any other member and I'm sure they'll be happy to help. If you want guaranteed answers, try asking a member in green as they are a moderator of the site (My PM is always open, though). So yeah, feel free to ask any questions if you're feeling stuck!
