Hi everyone,
I'm getting acquainted with YWS today. I'm working on a compendium of short stories and a blog right now (started three days ago). With a friend, I'm working on a novella. It's a little nebulous right now, but it's a fun write. Speaking of the 'short' stories, I have a first draft of the first one done. It's going to take a while for me to get the credits to get it up here, in part because of a friend's wise suggestion to put it up in digestible chunks.

So far, I love what I've seen of the community. Members have shown themselves to be very helpful, at least the few I've come into contact with so far. Thanks for the warm welcome, guys and gals

Welcome to the site! I'm glad you finally posted in here. You should go back to the YWS Buddy System Club and check out who you want to be your buddy. Just click on the tab called Clubs, and then look for the Buddy System Club. After you're there, go to the forums.

Glad to know you're enjoying the place so far. Posting it in digestible chunks is what usually goes on around here. Though, if your Novella has 1000+ words and you want a review on the whole thin, the Novel Workshop gives out reviews to long pieces.
Good luck with those short stories and the novella. If you need any help around YWS, light green names are junior moderators and dark green names are global moderators. The YWS members, including me, are also mostly more than willing to give you a hand or some advice.

Welcome to the Young Writers Society!

I love writing short stories too, I think they're really fun 8D Be sure to post any of your short stories up here if you want some top tips from the other young writers on the website. And you can also return the favour by reviewing something of theirs.
On YWS, you're bound to make some great writing buddies, it's inevitable. I know I've met loads of really cool people on here who share my interests and are just really fun to talk to.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or any other members and I'm sure they'll be happy to help. If you PM a Moderator of the site (their username is in light/dark green) you're guaranteed help with the site.
Also YWS is really fun! I mean we just rave every night.
