Hey guys, I just joined the Young Writers Society. As you can see my username is Ryder... it isn't my real name, but a name I often use in my stories, my alter ego by now
I'm 13, 14 in June, enjoy baseball and basketball, reading, writing, drawing, music. I play the trumpet
Hey, Ryder! I'm what my username says, but am most known around here as Up or Rocky or any other nickname that people come up with. I like watching baseball and playing basketball with my family, but not competitively. What do you prefer to read? What genre do you prefer writing in?
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I myself enjoy reading anything that isn't a mystery, lol. Mysteries are no-can-do's for me... nah dah
I like to write short stories, specifically in dark, horror, and suspense/adventure/fantasy. I don't know how those three mix in together... but the do for me.
Mystery isn't my genre either. I'll read anything with suspense though, preferably action, fantasy, and romance.
I'd like to say I write a mix of genres since I'm constantly hopping around. My most common are action and fantasy though, if superhero and people with crazy abnormalities count as fantasy..
And those three mix very well. I've seen it. : )
Any favorite books or authors?

Sadly, I've yet to read the Hunger Games, but I saw the movie. *ducks and covers* I do plan on reading the other two eventually, but haven't had the time lately.
The Outsiders is definitely on my top list too. : ) Along with anything by James Patterson, Margaret Peterson Haddix, and the whole Alex Rider series. I also liked Intertwined, but can't remember the author to save my life.

Alex Rider was awesome and you have to finish it, though it was depressing that the last book was truly the last one he's going to make...
And I never got around to Inkspell, but I do know what you mean. I saw the movie and couldn't picture myself reading something like that all the way through. I love fantasy, but Narnia is about as far into it as I can get, if you get what I mean.

Never read Narnia, saw the first movie, thought it was ok. I see what you mean with Inkspell, it could get slow, but I liked the majority of the plot, so I pushed through
Hey again Ryder. *hugs* I'm turning 14 in June too! I'll love you forever if your nice and give everyone lots of reviews before posting your own works. If you don't, I will throw my shurikens at you. >(>== )> * ^( == ^)

And what kind of stuff you mostly write? (Sorry, if someone else has already asked)
You have loads of amazing interests, the writing being the best of them. lol.Good luck with whatever you do.
See you around!
