Snoops: December 15, 2016 - December 31, 2016

At the age of one I faced voldemort ( at the time he had a nose, and I bit it off). I was placed in foster care with the simpsons. At twelve, I joined Camp half-blood and I found out Darth Vader was my father. After biting off his nose ( that's why he wears a mask, he's ashamed of it) , and faced off my first zombie with my sunflower. Years later I adopted 101 mickey mouses and went to live with the smurfs. My ex- boyfriend, Donuld Duck chopped of my hand, so I replaced it with a hook. Together, me and capatain Hook, took revenge on Peter Pan. His brother, Peter Parker ( AKA spiderman) took revenge on me, and bit my nose. Killing Spiderman turned me into Batman and I joined forces with the Joker to blow up Smallvile. Willie Wonka hid me in his chocolate fountain, while hiding a zombie care bear ate me and I turned into a ghost. Flash, who has a crush on me, wrote my name in Death Note and I joined Robin Hood's army. Seven Dwarfs bought me a house tied to ballons and chanted.
" Up, up, you go!"
I ended up in the jungle, Simba gave me immortality and I flew to Tazarn. I met Indiana Jones, who was Peter Pan's third degree cousin, so he locked me up in a cave, and I died there. Jesus was there too, and told me he didn't want to be Jesus anymore, so we switched bodies. In the wild West I met James Bond who taught me poker. After appearing on a few Oprah shows I overdosed. The end.

The moral is: You can be anything you want, just say no to drugs, kids.

Dracula: October 1, 2016 - October 15, 2016

“Lie close,” Laura said,
Pricking up her golden head:
“We must not look at goblin men,
We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?”
“Come buy,” call the goblins
Hobbling down the glen.

My name is Dracula. I am a vampire and I tend to live within my imagination. I fail to see what's wrong with that. :p

alliyah: September 15, 2016 - October 1, 2016

Hi! I'm alliyah, the "a" is lower-cased - please observe that as it's part of the aesthetic. ;)

My sister is the lovely, wonderful, talented tgirly and she's why I joined YWS! You'll mostly find me posting and reviewing poetry around the site. I also am the Court Magician in Knights of the Green Room, write for Squills, I passionately support the Unclassified movement, and love the The Poem of the Week thread.

* I became a Junior Moderator for Poetry Crew - January 30, 2017.
* I joined Squills in March, 2018.
* And I became a Global Moderator on February 27, 2019.

If you ever want someone to chat with, rant to, or would like to chat about poetry - feel free to send me a PM.

If you'd like a review you can head over to my WRFF thread: alliyah's poetry reviews (I know it looks closed at the moment, but I will probably get the review completed sometime in the year at least!)

Lastly, my Christian faith is a big part of my life, what I do and who I am. I am thankful that Christ gave his life to claim my own. I try to live by Jesus' two greatest commandments, "love the Lord your God with all your heart" and "love your neighbor as yourself". And as a human I fail daily at both of those, though I'll keep on trying. :)

I'm also just interested in all expressions of faith and religion in general - so if you wanna chat about religion feel free to PM me. (and no I'm not saying that because I'm interested in trying to convert you, or bully you, or attack your own beliefs, I'm genuinely fascinated by religion).

Spoiler! :
Now I would like to provide you with my opinions and thoughts on a variety of subjects that I have discussed on YWS. Which is probably not what you thought you were getting into when you clicked the spoiler.

reikann: August 23, 2016 - September 15, 2016

Hullo! Call me Rei.
I'm a late teen/young adult student with a plethora of knowledge on history, English, literature, mythology, and Pokemon, as well as a liberal sprinkling of everything else.
I'm a staunch liberal, active member of the LBGT+ community, semi-pagan, and occasional angry feminist.
I speak three languages and am at hard at work learning more!
I am a veteran player of Dungeons and Dragons! If you're inexperienced but interested in that for serious, I can help you set up a game. For real. Not playing. I've done it many a time and like it. If you are experienced and want to talk shop, whether as player or DM, I'd love that, too!

Are you here because I reviewed you? Excellent! Hi, hello, nice to meet you. I hope you enjoyed my subjective opinions.
I'm, unfortunately, a believer in that literature means what each individual reader gets out of it, which I understand can be aggravating to authors, especially poets. If you feel like I misinterpreted your work and want to talk about it, do contact me and we can talk about!
I'd also probably like to collab with you.

Hello! I am RippleGylf, bookworm extraordinaire. ;)

I'm a part of quite a lot of fandoms, and if you want specifics, they're all found below. I mainly identify as a Whovian, if that helps.

Here on YWS, I typically only post poetry. (My prose just exudes awkwardness...)

Lael: July 7, 2016 - July 23, 2016

Lael (pronounced lay-ell)

Usually stressed and sleep-deprived, but trying her best. That looks a little different each day.

An imperfect person who strives to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with her God.

Always...
- loved
- blessed
- forgiven
- protected
- worthy
- learning something new
- self-improving and growing
- striving to be kind
- trying to live an uncompromising, openly Christlike life

Hello there! I'm Mage.

(You might know me better as Jay, Saen/Sae or even TheLearningWriter.)

I'm a writer with a love of learning. I don't read as much as I used to anymore, but I still have my childhood habit of bingereading the books that I love.

My current writing projects are a slew of roleplays, a handful of storybooks, a novel and a poetry book. My biggest inspiration is probably Jonathon Stroud; his books kindled a love of the supernatural in me, and is almost certainly responsible for me writing so much about demons, ghosts, death and how we view it all.

Aside from my writing, I'm a sophomore at a state college - although all of my classes are currently online. I'm majoring in biology and getting a degree in secondary education. Someday, I'll be teaching science to high school students, but right now I'm just hanging out between the pages of my newest stories.
