Where to share poetry and get feedback

Whether you write sonnets, free verse, or spoken-word drafts, YWS gives you a home for poetry with readers who understand line breaks, voice, and revision — not just “nice poem” comments.

Sharing poetry on YWS

  1. Post to Poetry shelves

Publish individual poems or small collections on the Poetry browse page. Tag genre and form so the right readers can find you.

  2. Swap reviews

Leave a thoughtful review on someone else’s poem, then share yours. The Green Room highlights work that has not received feedback yet.

  3. Find poetry people

Poetry forums, clubs, and community prompts are a good place to talk craft — meter, revision, submitting to magazines, and more.

Not only poetry

YWS welcomes every genre. If you also write fiction or essays, start with the broader guide to sharing your writing.
