A Brief History of THE EGG
As a reminder for those who joined after the lore but want to participate in Celebrating @TheEgg -
The Egg rose to prominence on YWS in January 2019 after @fishsashimi posted THE EGG on their wall, this post became a YWS Record Holding Post with the most likes. Record Breaking Post - can we reach one hundred and eggty likes
People appreciated that THE EGG was a force for good on YWS, representing truth, courage, persistence. In February a vote was held which determined THE EGG would be YWS's new mascot over previous mascots of monkeys, dragons, and kangaroos.. the results of this vote continue to be questioned, but they were without a doubt definitive and without any sort of voter manipulation whatsoever. vote for the egg here.
Through the years many foes that have come through the site, THE EGG has remained a steadfast force for good and clarity. They have aided in overthrowing the schemes of Classified many times over, and also saved the site from such chaos as being overthrown by vegetables, bananas, the color pink, and also recently bug.
In 2020, there was some confusion as people tried to convince me that THE EGG was not a chicken egg, but was a blue-macaw egg... that was a whole ordeal that I can't really get into here, but chicken experts determined THE EGG was indeed a chicken egg.
Throughout the years, several groups have tried to STEAL or CRACK THE EGG, but fans of THE EGG have protected it from such chaos. In 2022, to convey the importance of THE EGG I wrote a comprehensive history of YWS's involvement with chickens and eggs for future generations to understand its gravity Read all about the egg here.
On April 1, 2023 THE EGG was rightfully made Featured Member in recognition of all they had done for YWS.
Since then, THE EGG has continued to be a force for good, and protected the site many many times from being overthrown, and I believe will indeed inspire us to victory and clearing the Green Room in this upcoming Review Day so that we may find the GOLDEN GOOSE! Huzzah!
