Book Lovers Club

Hey! I haven't read it, but I've read other books by this author. It's classified as a young adult contemporary/mystery/thriller. Based on what I'm seeing in reviews -- there's a second chance love story but it's more of a subplot than the main plot. Given that it's YA, not adult, there shouldn't be any "on screen" sexual stuff beyond kissing. And previous YA romances I've read by this author, there was nothing graphic in those. I'd assume the same would be true for this book since it's not primarily a romance

Okay, I have had that problem too. Up until recently, I could NOT cry.
If you want a really good book you should read Leota's Garden by Francine Rivers. I bawled my eyes out in this book. It is geared more towards older audiences however due to triggering subjects so you might want to research it first to make sure it is something you would be comfortable reading.
But seriously, this book was so easy to get imersed too to the fact that i have NEVER cried reading a book before until this one. It hit me hard and I literally couldn't read the words through my tears.
Another really good one that made me cry is 100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons. It is a shorter read than my previous recommendation and due to some language, it is also geared towards older audiences. The ending was so good and sweet but once again because it was so easy to be immersed, it also caused tears.
Out of the two, Leota's Garden is the hardest to read tear-jerking-wise. But 100 Days of Sunlight is also just as good tho not as tearjerking. 10 outa 10 for either one from me. Happy reading!

I read both the S&B series and the SoC duo and I'm soon gonna read King of Scars (it's waiting on my bookshelf for my reading slump to go away...). And yes, totally agreed about the personalities. In my opinion the casting (physically) was pretty good. Inej, Jesper, and Wylan were amazing though I would have preferred a shorter Wylan. Kaz... the actor was talented in the role and the facial expressions were good, but I honestly imagined him in a different manner. Nina was fabulous, though I did imagine her differently but they can't really make the casting exact to how each reader imagine it. Danielle (the actor for Nina) really got her mannerisms and overall character right! Alina was okay, Matthias was okay, IMO Mal was not that okay, Zoya was okay, Genya was okay, Nikolai was okayish, and the Darkling was NOT okay. I love Ben Barnes but just no. Ben Barnes in that role isn't the Darkling. He did a good job, but that's not the Darkling I read about. What I did like is that the show is technically a SoC spin-off and we get a different "story" of them. I also like the idea of the Crows and the S&B characters all meeting like this. Anyways, off to staring at King of Scars until I feel like reading...

Okay I want to, but I literally am struggling with time as it is. No time to read ahhhhh...

I set 50 as my reading challenge for this year on goodreads, and I'm also on my third book:) So, sure, I'll probably end up reading more than 50 anyways.
