    I read both the S&B series and the SoC duo and I'm soon gonna read King of Scars (it's waiting on my bookshelf for my reading slump to go away...). And yes, totally agreed about the personalities. In my opinion the casting (physically) was pretty good. Inej, Jesper, and Wylan were amazing though I would have preferred a shorter Wylan. Kaz... the actor was talented in the role and the facial expressions were good, but I honestly imagined him in a different manner. Nina was fabulous, though I did imagine her differently but they can't really make the casting exact to how each reader imagine it. Danielle (the actor for Nina) really got her mannerisms and overall character right! Alina was okay, Matthias was okay, IMO Mal was not that okay, Zoya was okay, Genya was okay, Nikolai was okayish, and the Darkling was NOT okay. I love Ben Barnes but just no. Ben Barnes in that role isn't the Darkling. He did a good job, but that's not the Darkling I read about. What I did like is that the show is technically a SoC spin-off and we get a different "story" of them. I also like the idea of the Crows and the S&B characters all meeting like this. Anyways, off to staring at King of Scars until I feel like reading...

    I haven't read the books yet, but I've watched the show and the whole crew of the Crows was my favourite and... the Darkling. I dunno, but I just loved Ben's acting, he's fantastic. I honestly didn't like Alina in the show, while the Darkling was just woww. I know the personalities are different in the books, but I didn't know that Kaz 'smiled?' and that the Darkling was just completely different. I'm planning to read the books soon, but I still like General Kirigan, I mean.. it's Ben Barnes..:)

    I’ve read all the books in the Grishaverse, with Six of Crows being my all time favorite book for the past few years! King of Scars and The Rule of Wolves are definitely up there in my favorites too. I honestly had trouble liking the Shadow and Bone series, I’m not sure if it’s because I read Six of Crows years before that series or something else. I also couldn’t get into the show at all, I stopped watching it after the first couple episodes. The mixing of characters and plots that wouldn’t have interacted in the books just made me lose interest quickly.
