  • Happy February reading! How is everyone's reading going? Any current favorite genres?

keystrings I haven’t been able to read anything so far ahhh. I did sign up for a Book ARC though and have gotten it as an e-book which will be fun to read this month xD

My favorite genres are absolutely fantasy/adventure, romance/fantasy, etc. Excited to look into more things though :)

  • Happy February! What are your reading goals for this month? Or any books you really want to read/suggest? Happy reading everyone :D

keystrings My reading goals this month are at least 2 books! I’m hoping to read either The Cruel Prince (Folk of the Air series) or any other popular fantasy/romance series c: I’m down for recommendations!

  • Good luck to anyone rushing to meet their reading goals for this month!! Enjoy it!! <33 You got this!!

  • Question, does anyone have a favourite LENGTH of book? We talk about genre and themes all the time. But what about length. What’s you ideal page count for a book? Or does it not matter?

starbean I like longer books, like 350-600
edit: actually i love really long books it's just hard to find good ones

  • Having finished the Shadow and Bone series on Netlfix (both seasons), I'm currently reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, the one with Kaz and his crew.

Anyone else read that book or watched that show?

I have to admit that all the characters have more personality in the books, even Kaz smiles. O.o

catapparently I read both the S&B series and the SoC duo and I'm soon gonna read King of Scars (it's waiting on my bookshelf for my reading slump to go away...). And yes, totally agreed about the personalities. In my opinion the casting (physically) was pretty good. Inej, Jesper, and Wylan were amazing though I would have preferred a shorter Wylan. Kaz... the actor was talented in the role and the facial expressions were good, but I honestly imagined him in a different manner. Nina was fabulous, though I did imagine her differently but they can't really make the casting exact to how each reader imagine it. Danielle (the actor for Nina) really got her mannerisms and overall character right! Alina was okay, Matthias was okay, IMO Mal was not that okay, Zoya was okay, Genya was okay, Nikolai was okayish, and the Darkling was NOT okay. I love Ben Barnes but just no. Ben Barnes in that role isn't the Darkling. He did a good job, but that's not the Darkling I read about. What I did like is that the show is technically a SoC spin-off and we get a different "story" of them. I also like the idea of the Crows and the S&B characters all meeting like this. Anyways, off to staring at King of Scars until I feel like reading...

  • POV: trying to get the popular book at your library XD (also I have read this so many times and the math just doesn’t add up in my mind lol)what is odd is that where I live has a population of about 100k people. I find it hard to believe that 1percent of the entire town is in line for this novel.

OrabellaAvenue Bahaha that's hilarious. Maybe some people made multiple accounts so they could read it multiple times. XD

  • Has anyone read the Diary of Anne Frank? I’m about 2/3 through and should be done tonight or tomorrow but WOW I am sobbing at this. I love Anne so much and her relatability and how she has so many words to say despite being stuck in one place.

Isbah I haven't read her diary, but I have read about her. I might read it this year though. Have you read Man's Search for Meaning? By Victor E. Frankl?
