  1. Bible Talk - Share a Verse

    "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Psalm 119:105

    Read a great piece of scripture, good Christian quote, or devotional and want to share it? Need to puzzle over a confusing verse - feel free to use this space and post below!
  2. "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
  3. Wonderful verse @AyumiGosu17 especially for young people! God can and does use people of all ages, experiences, and background! The story of Timothy and Paul is really inspiring.

    One of my favorite verses from 2nd Timothy is this one, "He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time," (2 Timothy 1:9)

    - I had that one on my YWS about-page profile for many years because it reminds me of my purpose is found in primarily in God; such a good verse.
  4. I love the entire chapter, honestly. It keeps me grounded when I need it. I ended up designing it as a sword tattoo, with "first timothy four" concealed in the handle. It's on my forearm as a constant reminder - and a great discussion piece. Within the first week of having it, I must have had 15 people ask about its meaning.
  5. @AyumiGosu17 Wow! That verse is amazing! I'm the youngest college student in my class, and one of the only Christians. That verse really hit me! Thanks so much for sharing!!
  6. I like especially the last part of this
    For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
    Psalms 30:5 NIV
    It might not be immediate rejoicing but morning does come, even to the longest of nights. And God is with you even in the night and rejoicing with you when morning comes
  7. <3 @Quillfeather - so right!
  8. Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever ♡

    My boyfriend got the verse engraved in his promise ring to me to always remind me of why we are able to love each other in the first place :)
  9. So sweet!
  10. that is such a lovely verse and such a nice thought you shared <3
  11. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." - Romans 12:1

    This verse is so potent and so packed with many truths. It emphasizes the climax to all of the doctrine Paul taught in Romans and the beginning to a life that is wholly His.

    It's one of my many favorite verses!
  12. @lullaby that is TOO sweet - sounds like a great guy!

    Alpaca i like that verse a lot too! Good encouragement to live for God in all ways!
  13. Psalm 103 <3333
    10 He does not deal with us according to our sins,
    nor repay us according to our iniquities.
    11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
    12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
    13 As a father shows compassion to his children,
    so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
    14 For he knows our frame;
    he remembers that we are dust.

    <3 Love this passage recently.
  14. Job 1:21 – “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

    My all-time favorite book + verse!! Job is brutally honest. He doesn’t just take everything quietly; he argues, he challenges, he demands to know why. All of that, but he still believes!!
  15. Ahhh my favorite verse too!!
