Hi! I was wondering if you ever wrote about crafting in your stories and poems? (Also, excerpts or links are more than welcome!)

I have never thought of that, but maybe I should in my current project.

ohmygoodness yes! I love multi-media poetry so much. While this isn't string-related, it is craft-related... for napo 2022 I incorporated a lot of origami with my poetry and sometimes consider origami folding, or words written on origami pieces to be a form of poetry. I also have a LOT of ideas about incorporating stitching and string together with poetry and did include a little bit of string and weaving in my napo project this year. I had more ideas but ran out of time, but I think string is very poetic. -> & all these loose-ends shall bind into a net

i know this feels undone, i know this feels like learning to knit in reverse using your heart for a string, but some broken edges of life are not for us to hold | be gentle with yourself, even if the world is not (link)
and this one from my 2021 napo ... which incorporates string, paper, + a dried flower

My sister did her undergrad capstone as a poetry project where each poem in her final collection went with an attached framed embroidery piece that she made -> some of them had the words stitched on, and in some of them the "back" or messy end was incorporated etc. it was so cool and I'm not explaining it very well - but I wish I could be as cool as her. @_@ -
@alliyah, I just read your poems and they're so good! They sounded like songs in my head.

@spottedpebble thank you that is so kind!
