Let's talk about the bugs

    Okay everyone. We need to chat about something VERY concerning that I think is tied to classified. ... the bugs. (to be clear I don't know if the bugs are evil in themselves, but I do think it is VERY suspicious that they have been released all over YWS)

    Record of clues so far...

    1) I posted a status about ants, shortly after bugs started appearing ALL OVER the site. Different colors, different walls, different places including the NAPO BANNER! Ugh!

    2) Some members even had their avatars taken over by bugs... (see hop and @inksthewriter)

    3) a few "classified operatives" started cryptically noting possible connections to classified and using the classified hashtag which we know is a method they've used in the past to communicate secret information.

    canopy very suspiciously said this... and I quote...

    ahem I just wanna say, #classifed doesn't have anything to do with this. We definitely did not do anything. This was not us. We do not support the bugs. We definitely didn't grant them entry in exchange that they take down unclassified haha. So, in summation this isn't #classified , this is something else. I repeat, this was not us....


    Just tell me that doesn't sound sus. !! @_@

    Well what do you think? What's behind the bugs? What are they here for? What is classified doing? How do we stop it?

    Feel free to share your clues and ideas and anything else below!!

    (also I would ask any operatives of classified to please leave the unclassified folks alone as we discuss, I will kick you out of our club if you use the classified hashtag too many times, we have important discussion that needs to take place here).

    noticeably there is a bug on the napo banner ... i believe the bugs were attracted to the jam then PURPOSEFULLY planted on people's walls to distract them from collecting more jam!!!!!!!!!

    @lalalucky - I think you are on to something here that shouldn't be ignored - it makes perfect sense that classified would strike during one of the most active site times of all... NAPO! And going for the napo banner which links to the jam jars first seems a little too coincidental to ignore. Are the bugs eating the poetry? Is classified trying to stop NaPo? it's very sus indeed.

    I also recall years ago classified specifically used bees in their plots... I am not sure that the bees have anything to do with these bugs... but I don't think we can rule it out yet.

    Do you think this has anything to do with the site glitch earlier this week that @goodolnoah posted about on their wall? I think that "bug" is sometimes used as a synonym for a problem with a website... could classified be putting out a warning that they are going to cause the site to glitch and maybe what happened to the people tab earlier was like a pre-cursor or a test???

    @Spearmint knows a lot about computer coding stuff maybe they could confirm this data?

    Feel free to keep the theories rolling... the more we notice the more clues we have to figure this out!

    - veryyy interesting the "poem of a week" club posted about celebrating happy arbor day while also talking about... bugs ("Write a poem about bugs)? when the day is about celebrating trees (or well specifically about planting them), not any bugs! which is suspicious!
    - unfortunately... this connects canopy to the bug situation due to the day being about trees and well, canopy is supposedly a tree. but this may also be connected to the banner considering its texture being paper (is the banner made out of paper!? so that means.. its made out of trees!)
    - however ,this also would mean that this bug situation may be connected to some of the poets behind the club, even the ones who aren't... classified (trust no one!)

    -Wolfi posted a very interesting screenshot of canopy at a scene of a crime. or... a scene of their crime? all the works they liked are about bugs.. then slowly she began to like works with "help" in the title - as if screaming for help! are they literally being eaten by bugs? hmmmhmmm... or could it be a red herring? i have no idea!

    - the website was bugged a few days ago because of a post literally breaking the wall section! could the bugs now be connected to that accident...?

    (random thoughts for now)
    - perhaps the bugs themselves are the poetry prompts... or they ate some poetry prompts?
    - the bugs were attracted to poets. every poet on the website, then escaped all over the place. perhaps it was an unfortunate accident!

    I agree with @lalalucky although I must ask, where would the bugs be taking this jam? And why? Perhaps they have a queen bug who wishes to overthrow YWS! We must gather data for now. Perhaps we should snoop around canopy's wall to find more clues?

    perhaps the bugs are attracted to all of the sugar in our jam? or someone left fruit out to rot...

    These are all EXCELLENT points - good news everyone! LadyMysterio is a forensic science bug EXPERT! so I am going to bring some of these bug questions over to her to see what she thinks Re: Why they seem to be after the jam etc. as cocteau brought up. We'll need to keep searching for information....

    Yes... hop is seeming a wee bit... buggy? (also I think the bugs could very well be good I just don't like how classified is using them for their plots!)

    So I bring some intel from a forensic bug expert... LadyMysterio I asked her these questions

    1) Would a bug eat jam? (Why and where would it take the jam?)

    2) Can bugs cause "computer bugs" (like a computer glitch) as far as you know?

    3) What are some known methods of transporting or training bugs for tasks?

    4) In your expert opinion do you have any more information you could add regarding bugs and YWS...


    And she answered back...

    1. Well yes. It's commonly known that ants love sugar substances like honey, and I believe flies and well as wasps would also be attracted to jam.
    2 to my knowledge no they can not, unless they happened to enter the computer electronic system and disrupt any circuit board or wiring, while not digital, some could call that a "computer bug"(literally as the bug is within the computer and also causing an issue, known as a bug)
    3. Really any small container that you can coaxs a bug into will work, however make sure you provide ventilation and vegetation for them if transporting I've doing distance. They need air circulation, food and water like us :) I am however, not familiar with training bugs, aside from the ants ability to find food, and then lead others to the food, same with bees.
    4.yes, but it's also retains to corpse and I fear that may be a bit gruesome for some.


    So from this I am gathering...

    1) The bugs are VERY likely connected to the poetry jam jars -> they probably eat the poetry?

    2) If the bugs caused glitches it would mean they'd have to be inside the site itself, which I think we've seen evidence of with the logo?

    3) we need to figure out what small containers classified is using to transport the bugs... any ideas? I was thinking maybe empty jars?

    4) and @canopy may or may not be in danger... or maybe the bugs are in danger??? not sure!

    Interesting theory... did anyone notice any patterns with the colors? Worth investigating! The bug on my wall was black... but I saw them of all different colors all over the site!
