Song's Last Breath

PreviousNext

Hey guys, before I post the poem, I just wanted to tell y'all it was assignment for class. We had to write a three stanza poem in iambic pentameter. It's a love letter of sorts, from Olivia to Cesario from Shakespeare's "The Twelfth Night," so read and enjoy! Thanks! ^_^

>>>>>

Cesario my dear, o doth thou knows't?
How beats my heart so? Hath thou heard it?
Present in mine voice is adoration.
For eternity I needs't thou here, sir.

Skin fair and eyes glitt'ring, thou doth shine.
Intelligence of thee I do now knows't and
Still in my arms' embrace thou doth belongs't
For World's reign and ruin, till song's last breath.

Cesario, ho! what now thou ponders?
Doth thou dare love me, much as I love thee?

Thanks! And yes, I missed that typo xD But now it's fixed! :]

Also, iambic pentameter is what Shakespeare wrote the majority of his stuff in, having (as my teacher put it) five "kerrTHUMP"'s in a line, if that makes sense =P

Thanks again! ^_^

Nutty! Hi! You did another poem! Exclamation marks galore! Yay! (!!!!!)

*ahem* Anyways, you have yet to disappoint me, Nutty dear. This was awesome. I have no idea what iambic pentameter means, but it works...whatever it is. This was very cheery and lighthearted and completely legible! Congrats, dude. ;)

I think my favorite part was...

Present in mine voice is adoration.
For eternity I needs't thou here, sir.

Awesome. :P

I just have one question, though... What is "mt"? Is that supposed to say "my"? Whatever.

Great job.

Timmeh
