Tell me,

Where in your mind am I?

I wandered for years until I found my way in,

So where the hell did I go?

Because trust me,

I wouldn't leave willingly.

Your poem really made my shiver from the feelings and emotions. I love when poetry makes you physically react! This was just beautifully written. Your writing style is very unique and I can't wait to read more of what you write!

I would personally think this would be even stronger if it was longer.
But that is just my opinion, sometimes short poems can be the strongest. I would love to read more of your work and will continue leaving reviews. It is hard leaving such a long review just so then I can post something else but I did honestly love your short poem! Keep up the good work!

Ghost here with some constructive criticism.
Take it lightly, because literally my entire being is a big joke and I don't really take myself seriously.

Ahem.

First of all, pat yourself on the back. You should be proud of all the work that you do, no matter what anyone says. The courage to post something like this is hard to find.

Second of all, I was a bit confused about the concept of this. I suspected (Judging by the title) that it was Alice in Wonderland fan fiction or something among those lines. But awaiting me was a poem, in which of course, I was pleasantly surprised by, but while reading I came to the conclusion that:
One- This has nothing to do with Alice and Wonderland.
and
Two- This is definitely about a relationship.

Yet I'm confused as to where the relationship is going. Is it in a good place or bad? When you say in the poem, "I wouldn't leave willingly." I assumed that it was steering towards a happy one after struggling throughout the piece to find out. But you also seem sort of angry, and the flow is a bit off. Confused, angry, but at peace with yourself at the same time for the duration of the poem. This person seems to be really making you wonder about who they are and where you are in their mind.

In a relationship, of course, you would want to know as much as you could about your partner. And this poem signifies that very well. You wrote very realistically and I actually found some elements humorous. I enjoyed it overall. Good job!

Hope to see more from you soon,

Ghost Writer (Coming at you from the Ghost Writer Society in the great town of Someplace.)

hello Ghost (:

Hello woahhitherepal! Welcome to YWS! Kara here for a (hopefully) quick review!

Give me your soul.

With that aside, I'm not the best at poetry but here we go!

Bold = grammar and flow issues.
Italics = suggestions and overall
Strikethrough = remove
Underline = krazy Kara komments.

Spoiler
Tell me,

Where in your mind am I? {Elaborate on the mind a little - "The back? The front?"}

I wandered for years until I found my way in,

So where the hell did I go?

Because trust me,

I wouldn't leave willingly.

My interpretation:

You're having thoughts about a person and you're not sure if they still like you or not, but you're still in love with them, so you don't want to leave a relationship, right?

Overall:

Overall, this is one of your stronger poems, and I actually really liked it a lot :D keep up the great work!

Why haven’t you given me your soul yet? --

Kara

Hello, E.E here for a possibly quick review and maybe some utter nonsense! Grim is here as well, drinking hot cocoa and being a slacker. *Grim looks over, glaring* So, lets get started. :terrifying

*flips many tables when she has seen that Pal tagged her in a new poem of his*
*Notices that the poem is called Wonderland and starts screeching at top of lungs in fangirl mode*

Okay, so, in all seriousness just one place would need a comma and that would be the line "So where the hell did I go?" right after the word "So". Otherwise the the flow was great and it really mixed well with the title, WHICH I LOVE.

Now is when I dissect your poem and see if I can't get its meaning right! So, in your poem you are telling us, the reader, that your mind is wandering and you can't really tell where it is going. Is it going somewhere good or somewhere absolutely terrifying? All you know is that you left and you can't go back to who you were yesterday because yesterday you were a different person. OR, it could be the beginning of Wonderland themed poems? Eh, eh? No, ok.

Overall, I loved the poem and keep up the good work! Happy Halloween! I really need to go now Grim has souls to reap and he needs more cocoa. He has a problem, seriously. Cheerio and fruit loops to you!

hello E.E
i actually wasn't planning a wonderland series but that struck inspiration in my strange little brain so thanks for that (:
thanks for the review

No problem Adrian! Inspiration is always nice to have!

Hey, woahhitherepal! Storm here for a review this fine Review Day. This review is going to be rather short, and for that I'm sorry, but to be fair, there's not a lot of content to be reviewed, so I don't think you were expecting anything novel length anyway. Anyhow, let's jump into it!

I have some mixed feelings regarding this poem. I mean, there's not really anything wrong with it, but you don't really include what I, personally, read poems for. I am a big fan of imagery and style when it comes to poems, so how one strings words together is definitely what draws me to certain poets. This poem doesn't really include the big thing I like about the poetry I like.

This has a very conversational tone, but I feel like there are certain things that could be added and taken out.

For one, I wasn't a fan of the use of 'hell' in this. It is kind of a conversational poem, but it was still rather jarring to read. I mean, I'm not really a prude when it comes to 'bad language' and I use my fair share, but it just felt out of place here. It also could be that the extra word interrupted the flow. I'm not 100% sure either way.

This next suggestion might sound totally off the wall weird, but I could see it fitting if you changed the second to last line to:

Because trust me, pal,

It might sound weird to you, but that's just my two cents.

Overall, while it isn't what I look for in poetry, there is truth in this, and I appreciate that most of all.

If you have any questions on any of my suggestions or criticism, feel free to talk to me in a pm or reply to this review.

~Storm

Hi, this is ZeldaIsShiek back with another review on some pretty amazing poetry! Today is Review Day, and I've got to get my fingers warmed up, but this poem was truly spectacular! I can't wait to begin. Shall we?

The first thing I noticed about this poem was its length. It is not uncommon for amazingly expressive poetry to be unexpectedly short in length, yet still manage to convey a feeling of meaning and depth. For that I commend you. Another aspect of this incredible art is the confusingly subtle but then instantly ratified wording you use to convey the meaning of the poem. The first two lines are worded like you are asking a question to someone you know. This is made apparent by how you greet who you are talking to; rather informally for someone you wouldn't know. The second line is confusing, because it could mean a few different things, considering the title. The first thing I imagined was that the target's mind is like a maze of relationships that you are weaving through and trying to find yourself amongst the clutter. But after reading the next line, it seems more romantic. It seems like you have been attempting to become a part of someone's life for years, but they just now noticed you. However, this relationship turns to more of a helping relationship later on, when you tell them to trust you, and that you won't leave willingly. Maybe this means it took years for your friendship to blossom, and now they are depressed and want to push you out of their life, but you will go to any lengths to help them.

Despite the meaning, this is a truly amazing poem with many meanings. Have a great Review Day, and may the best (Witches) team win!

-ZeldaIsShiek
