This is hard to understand and impossible to describe
How I feel has always been a secret, something to hide
Now what I want to say is escaping my mind
Because how I feel about you is making me shy

It’s like a vivid smile or a girl’s scarlet blush
A flower in the sun surrounded by a bright summer hush.
It’s charming and known but a new kind of rush
Because for some reason, it’s not a dumb crush

With you I can say what is really in my heart
You really do care and yet it’s still so hard.
But I’m done keeping those feelings set apart
So I’m going to tell you before courage departs

It’s like a sweet laugh or a loving embrace
A smooth melody with unmatched grace
It’s enchanting and familiar but a different pace
All because you have my heart en-laced

For me, this poem was great. I can really relate to how you feel and the way you pieced everything together made the poem more for others to feel, as well. Good job and keep up the writing!(;

I really loved it and could truly feel the emotions you were conveying in your words. It was sweet and innocent, yet grown-up, raw, and mature all at the same time (if that makes sense). I think I can understand how you feel as well.
