Drowning Via IV

by whence

This are alternate lyrics to My Chemical Romance's song, 'Teenagers'. Yes, call it cheating if you like, but I'm no songwriter xD.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you pace through this song
Try to breathe on your own
Or you’ll sync up your heartbeat too
Now we wouldn’t want that
A pacemaker attack
That’s just a halfbeat off cue.
But if you clamp down your lids
And miss the sights of it, kid
You might just hold in that iris sheen.
So shake free of the sounds
And all the jaws on the ground:
A first look at the final dream.
Just breath in…
Lungs can be stretched
Tear a hole in the seam
You’ll see that we know
Nothing intuitively.
dirty needle for two
That makes one less than you
You shoulda felt it comin’ from me.
All of the
Hospital beds
Stained sweet and stained red
There’s an opening on cot four…
As you’re Tucked in by Death
You’re having some regrets
With one kidney out the door.
Just breath in…
Lungs can be stretched
Tear a hole in the seam
You’ll see that we know
Nothing intuitively.
dirty needle for two
That makes one less than you
You shoulda known it comin’ from me.
Inject-sionn!!
[Guitar solo]
Just breath in…
Lungs can be stretched
Tear a hole in the seam
You’ll see that we know
Nothing intuitively.
dirty needle for two
That makes one less than you
You shoulda known it comin’ from me.
Wheeling down the hall:
Lungs can be stretched
Tear a hole in the seam
You’ll see that we know
Nothing intuitively.
dirty needle for two
That makes one less than you
You shoulda known it comin’ from me.
Held breath…
Lungs can be stretched
And split up the seam.
Using my teeth on
A trachectomy
Paint this red paint it blue
A ward made just for you
But Death smiles and intervenes.
Listen. Sing along with my lyrics if you like, that's the best way to see if they work :)
Nice choice of words but still it doesn't beat the original lyrics of Teenagers by MCR. Go MCR!
Lol, this is so clever! Not to mention you picked one of my favorite songs/music videos/bands of all time. The words you wrote actually sound sort of like something mcr would play. Good job! :D
Your lyrics fit the song perfectly and that's a cool video. I should show my friend this, it's her sort of music...
Wow. Totally spaced that there was a link there. I just searched through YouTube instead. And I didn't hate the music as much as I had thought I would.
Yeah, the gas masks were priceless. They. look. ridiculous. Love the headbanging from the audience :)
And really, isn't it worth it to see cheerleaders with gasmasks?
hehe.
It's catchy, I think. I haven't heard the music yet; not my usual cup of tea, but maybe I'll skip over to YouTube and find a video...
This didn't fit so well with the music, but maybe that's just because I was trying to listen through people singing.
Huh.
