I suppose our purpose is to survive, to thrive, and to grow. You can blossom into a beautiful rose just as quickly as you can decay into the ground; But, what is the way to live exactly? What's the answer you spent your whole life searching for?

Some people spend their whole lives thinking that miserable is the only way to live. It's weird to think that humans naturally sometimes are made to be unhappy. I think we're told that happiness is the goal in life and even that in itself is so difficult. There's no exact way to be happy. There's no manual or instructions to get there, you're told to find your way there. I spent most of my life thinking that being miserable was the only way to be and even once I figured out you didn't have to live like that; I still struggled to be happy.

It takes a while to figure out that you don't have to live that way and even longer to escape that cycle. Once life hits you, your brain gets wired into feeling like you're drowning or suffocating because of things that have happened to you that you would think did not affect you whatsoever. You're not gonna always understand why life happens the way it does and unfortunately, that's just the way life is. You accept what you're given. If you're dealt a bad card, you learn to live with it.

I think some people don't understand that living with rage and anger because of the things that happen to you is not a way to live. I could understand the anger but you're mad at the whole world because of the shitty things that have happened in your life. No one can control that, not even you. You shouldn't spend your life being angry at the world just because you are hurt and tired. 90% of people have experienced some type of pain and hurt in their lives because they were dealt a bad hand. 30% have experienced that same pain you have. 9% blame the world for their issues. You cannot do that because no one wants to be around someone that makes them feel shitty about your problems.

You need to take responsibility for your own life and your treatment of others. We need people to live, and I think people deny that because they don't want to feel obligated to keep people in their lives. People move on and will live their lives the way they want to, with or without you. No one decides that but you.

Hey there! Hope you're doing well.
To be honest, I was thinking of writing something similar to this, maybe I will one day. This subject is one in which only experienced people or those who have understood how to move on in life can say. What you've written is completely true. We have to accept the circumstances and learn to live with it.

Just one thing, you could've done without the s- word in there too, it would've been better.

Anyways, hope to read more insightful pieces from here! Happy Writing!

I write reviews as I read the work being reviewed. I read a paragraph and then I write what I'm thinking about it.

Each paragraph written below corresponds as a paragraph of your work I'm working off of my phone so I hope it all works and makes sense.

Life is a journey. Every day is a gift that's why it's called the present. You don’t always realize it in the moment, but looking back, you see how everything connects. The past shapes you, but it doesn’t have to define you.

Miserable is the way to live. That resonates with me. I lived like that until I found the right people to surround myself with. When you’re in that mindset, it feels like there's no way out, like it’s just the way things are. You'll spend your whole life like that unless you learn to change the way you think. Otherwise, it's just going to suck, and you won’t even realize you’re the one keeping yourself trapped.

That last line—"If you're dealt a bad card, you learn to deal with it"—doesn’t sit right with me. You don’t just learn to live with it, you learn from it. Life will keep throwing the same lessons at you until you finally take something from them. If you don’t learn from your mistakes or faults, you’re going to make them again. You have to grow as a person, or you’ll just keep repeating the same cycles.

Going around being angry all the time is a waste of energy. You take the shit, you examine the shit, you learn from it, and you move on. Carrying that weight won’t do anything but drain you. Life’s too short to be pissed off all the time, especially over things you can’t change. Eventually, you have to let it go, or it’ll eat you alive.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Some things in life you just have to accept, but that doesn’t mean you have to let them control you.

The world is your oyster. Well, it’s my oyster, but you can have some of it.
