My nemesis,
I found him.
Or rather he
surprised me.
It was the reflective
surface that gave him
away really.
Staring him down,
I waited for
just the right moment.
Then I pounced.
He scurried away
and I followed.
I must trap him
I thought, but how?
Aha! Penning him
in I ran in search
of a better weapon.
Wielding my new
arsenal we faced off
once again.
Whack! Went my shoe.
I scraped the
cockroach off and
resumed washing my face.

I love it! Very surprising, and I like the way the title foreshadows the end.
Oh thanks!!
Ha! Nice, I liked it!
Only thing: "He scurried away also" the 'also' is an unneeded word, 'tis my opinion that the poem would flow better without it.
Keep writing!
