Our Heart's Infinity

E - Everyone

In Poetry

Once, you wrote me a poem.
The rhythm didn't fit,
the rhyme scheme a mess.
But I loved it anyway.
Your heart bled on paper,
for me,
and it was perfect.

Once, I wrote you a poem,
but couldn't grasp my thoughts.
It came out a mess,
and I tried to forget it.
But I had things to say,
to you,
and I lacked the words.

Once, while writing a poem,
I realized the truth.
No phrase existed.
Our language cannot fathom
our hearts infinity,
our love.
And yet, it's perfect.

Screamandshout, this was a deep and romantic poem. The only thing I saw was a few punctuation errors but over all I thought I was a sweet romantic poem. Remember capitalization though. It flowed really well and I loved it ;)

Oh my goodness. I love this so much. The so simple yet has so much depth and it's so cute and sweet and just perfect. Beyond perfect.
If I'm not mistaken, i think there's supposed to be a ' after hearts.. so it's "our hearts' infinity" because it's possession...
That's the only mistake i saw though, besides that i really do love it!
Nice job and keep writing! -Heather

Nice poem. However, the last three lines of your first two stanzas are a bit choppy. For example, "the rhyme scheme a mess" sounds sorta weird among your other lines. Your last line doesn't make sense to me. Is 'it' referring to the poem or your love or what? Anyway good poem!

Oh my gosh ! AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL! This is the sweetest thing ever! I'm like the punctuation poliece so don't hate me
( to be honest I didn't even notice first time around)
Remember to capitalize the firt sentence of every line in the stanza.

Truly magnificent in your fluidness and the pome flowed gently and passionatley and thorughly expressed your emotions.

Check out my poem "Lost in Love" and lemme know what you think ( yes it is about me)

Okay, so this is super cute; I really love the message. There is one thing that really bothers me though, in the second stanza after "But I had things to say," you should have either put "to you" beside of that and added a different line after it or written something else after "to you," it kind of doesn't flow right. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading this. You are a fantastic writer, keep it up!
Toodles. :)

To you is sort of implied, sometimes adding extra words isn't necessary in poetry so I disagree, I suppoe that's up to the author because personally I prefer short and sweet to allow people to use their imagination more and fill in the blanks, other times though more words does seem more aadequate. I believe this could go either way and I see your point there...

I love seeing other authors' points of view, thanks for the comment. I guess there is kind of an emphasis on to you, but I just think it sounds a bit odd. There is nothing grammatically incorrect about it at all though.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
