Spoiler! :
Decided to try out some poetry for the first time outside of school. Hope it's not too awful. Let me know what you think!

I can't get you out of my head,
Your scent still lingers on me
I can't keep you out of my heart,
Your beard scratches my cheek

I hear you all around
As I lay on clean, white sheets
I feel your heart beat close to mine,
Your warmth radiating through me

Please tell me I'm the only one
Or else my heart would break
If you were to love another,
My soul would surely ache

Open up your heart to me
Because you're not alone
And please, remember I too am at risk
For my heart was your's with one gentle kiss

Wow!
I love this - it's short and sweet and very moving. The ending is fantastic!
Brilliant work!

wow...
i have to say this but poems that involve love move me.. the possible heart ache as well as the beauty of love itself... I love when both sides of love is used in one poem.. its a contradiction of something that will always contradict itself in life.. really beautiful peom!

Hi,

Congradulations! For the first time outside of school, that was quite impressive! You should continue writting.
This stanza:
"Please tell me I'm the only one
Or else my heart would break
If you were to love another,
My soul would surely ache"
That was just beautifully written! Good job!

Farewell,
A.

it is quite something to wound someone and then pity their scars
