Red Heat
Chorus:
Red heat and passion is the way that I love.
My weakened heart shows what I’m made of.
It was you that I wanted, it was you all along.
And now that I’ve had you, it hurts that you’re gone.
I miss how my heart stopped when you’d touch my hand
And when we’d sneak out every day after band.
I love how your braces would cut up my lips.
And the way that I held you whenever we’d kiss.
Chorus:
Red heat and passion is the way that I love.
My weakened heart shows what I’m made of.
It was you that I wanted, it was you all along.
And now that I’ve had you, it hurts that you’re gone.
I’d kiss you so gently on the back of your neck,
But now my bed’s empty and my life, a wreck.
I’d trace each of your freckles in a line down your back.
The warmth of you near me, now something I lack.
Chorus:
Red heat and passion is the way that I love.
My weakened heart shows what I’m made of.
It was you that I wanted, it was you all along.
And now that I’ve had you, it hurts that you’re gone.
I still wear your bracelet as I fight back my tears,
But I am broken and useless without you here.
I stare out the window, day after day
Thinking you’ll come back and take me away.
Chorus:
Red heat and passion is the way that I love.
My weakened heart shows what I’m made of.
It was you that I wanted, it was you all along.
And now that I’ve had you, it hurts that you’re gone.

Aw, thank you so much!
I really liked this alot,

''It was you that I wanted, it was you all along.
And now that I’ve had you, it hurts that you’re gone''
These lines are pretty perfect,
they fit the scene so well,
and just flow into eachother beautifully.
This kinda topic is seen in songs and poems and stories alot,
but this is one of the best takes on it ive seen in a long time,
Well done,
