Hey there! I have to agree that this piece is on the short side :) That's not a bad thing, but I would suggest fattening it up a bit.

I like the first line and I think there's a line missing after it. Something to give a hint as to what it means to be a "person."

The word 'awesome' kind of makes me twitch when describing anything, mainly because it's so overly used. Reach out for another word....burning? abstract? words that paint a picture and aren't merely read.

I think you can still roll with the shorter length for this poem, but like I said, it could use a little more...Imagery....different word choice....Great Job.

Hello :)
I like your poem, its so cute and honestly its an easy read by everyone because of the simplistic language but have you tried expanding? I do like it but it seems a bit short, try add in a bigger topic or a hidden meaning but apart from that I really love it

Hey Leah ;)

This is a very cute poem, not very difficult to interpret and the usage of simple language makes it easy for the readers.
I like the way you moulded your thought into a poem of few lines.

'The same way the sun is just a star' is such a strong line and my favourite too. Brilliant thought!

However, the line 'But I am special, just like the awesome sun' did not please me much. The word 'awesome' is not ideal here and doesn't go with the flow. According to me, it is a charm spoiler.

I hope you understand. No offence meant!

Your title could have been more interesting too. Just an opinion.

We all are beginners, its okaay to make mistakes :)
Keep writing Leah!

Love,
Krish

Hey Leah! This is pretty darn cute. Have you thought of expanding it any? It's an artistic whole as it is, but if you have other feelings on the topic, it wouldn't hurt for this to be a bit longer. I love finding poems like this in magazines and such. You should consider sending this in somewhere.

There are plenty of literary magazines, or women's periodicals that would eat this sucker up. My only complaint is 'awesome'. In a way I like the cutesy feeling it adds to the poem, but then again, the word is pretty trite, and it takes something away from the poem.

As a whole, the poem is great. It's a good mood booster. It reminds me of something I'd find on a wallpaper or a Hallmark card, and that's a good thing. If you wanted to take it in a more artsy direction, you could expand on the topic, but this feels complete on its own.

hello there, leahwoodhouse.

i liked this poem, the description was right on. it talks about how everyone is the same, yet we are all so different.

it is very short. i would have liked to see some more lines added to it.

my favorite part is the lines:

"The very same way the sun is just a star
But I am special, just like the awesome sun"

these really captured my attention i like the similies.

I noticed you capitalized the beginning of every line, very good! There are many people that don't do this, i didn't even know it was the way to do these poems until recently as well. so, kudos!

On another note, some punctuation at the end of the sentences would have been nice. commas, etc.

overall i'd probably give it a 3/5. not amazing, but not terrible

good job, keep writing!
