You say you love and miss me,
But when I try to communicate,
There's no answer.

You say I'm your best friend.
We did everything together,
But then you moved.
Then there was no answer.

I try to call you,
I try to text you,
There's no answer.

Don't you understand that I miss you?
All we have are memories now,
But when I try to remind you of them,
There's no answer.

Do you understand it?
Do you understand any of it?
I miss you.
I just want to talk to you,
But when I try to talk to communicate,
There's no answer.

Hi!
I think you reviewed one of my works so I thought I'd check one of yours out.
Great poem! I love it! You managed to keep the reader interested whilst not using a rhyme scheme, which, for me anyway, is a really hard skill. I think part of it was the repetition of "no answer" which also really backed up the point of your poem well.

I can't personally identify with the poem, but your feelings came across really clearly, and I found myself really able to empathize with that feeling of emptiness and despair of not getting an answer - I could really feel what you were trying to convey.

I also liked the structure and line length, I don't think there was any structure in particular but I like how it flowed easily, and you just adapted the verses to suit what you wanted to express.

It was a really great poem! I enjoyed reading it. Keep writing!

Thank you! I'm glad that I can get to people through my words.

Hello kamsgirl3715,
It's MergSword here early in the morning with a review for you!

I hate it when people don't respond to you, and I feel truly sorry when I don't answer myself. It's a feeling that just leaves you hanging, have you said something wrong, is it something that I've done wrong. It's a disconnection.
That's why I personally like is poem. I can relate to it more than I can with most poems. I'm especially a fan of the fourth stanza.
I think that the fifth stanza could be removed as it's just repeating the same thing as stanza four in different yet similar words.
Keep on writing and stay awesome!

I see what your saying. Thanks :)

I am in love with this. This is literally how it was for me when my sister went off to college.

Wow. You know I'm glad I can write stuff and know that I can capture how others can relate to it. It kind of builds my confidence.

Hey there! I must say, I love this poem so much! It's very relatable, in fact, I'm facing an issue with a very close family member, that is described perfectly by your poem. I loved especially how you added "there's no answer" throughout, really emphasizing the main idea behind this poem. I read in your description this is for your sister? If so, I really hope she comes around, and whatever tensions exist, can diminish over time. Anyway, overall, the flow was nice, and your writing style was rather enjoyable to read. I don't have any nit picks, as I didn't see anything that I would change. Your poetry is very self expressive, and I look forward to reading more of your work! :)

Thanks :). I made sure I had my spelling and punctuation right this time lol.
