I hear voices in my head
They scream and shout
that my solitude demands to be fed
They tear me apart
A part of me, is left afar
into a place I’m not destined to conquer
A place I never reach
except in dreams and hallucinations
Behold, I fear those creations
Belonging nowhere, but my own mind
I hear voices in my head
Holding me guilty
of faults I’m not willing to accept
I stride forward fighting self-enmity
but they pull me back instead
into the place I’m not destined to conquer
no matter how many tears I shed
My most pious wish was left unsaid
Since then they echo;
The voices in my head

Alright, where to start? Well first off I liked your theme, the person was degrading and belittling themselves, and blaming it on 'voices'. In reality it's just their guilt for past misdeeds and stupidity that probably would bother most people just not to same magnification. And while the person doesn't want to think that way what they've done is always plaguing them at the foremost back of their minds. Now onto what I had issues with, I know everyone has their own style, and that's gime when it flows, but when it doesn't it just make the whole piece seem like nails on a chalkboard in slow motion. While your work wasn't as grating as thatit still felt a little rough. That being said I did enjoy your work. Keep calm and write on! =^_^=
P.S. I apologize for any grammatical errors
Hey. I'm sorry for that. But I would be able to improve if you tell me what exactly didn't you like? Thanks
Nice poem. Written great. I'm in love with the concept. Our life is really ftrustrating these days. We get confused and dont understand how to deal with it. Basically its all upto us how can we make ourselves happy. Most of us blame their own family or lovers not to keep themselves happy. But how can anyone be happy if she or he is not enjoying the life. We need psychologists and councellors more than doctors and engineers who can teach us the basics of life. Also it is us who can enjoy our life. We cannot enjoy life on behalf of others. So why to blame others?
The poem teaches us that neither i am the only person dealing with frustrations nor you are the only one feeling dejected. We have all got problems but we should know the ways of getting out. The poem clarifies the feeling of an isolated soul who us craving for love and care. But alas! The world is busy and selfish.
I love reading the poem keep writing it. Stay happy stay calm. God bless you dear.
Thanks tanny. You grabbed my concept really well
I like this a lot. Good job. It's a great poem.
Thank you
Dear ishitadutt,
I'm like TheSilentBagpipe, (who is actually my sister), when I say that I can't ever find mistakes in someone else's work. But I'll try my best!
I really loved the title, even though I don't actually have voices -_- , I know the feeling coming from this poem. For me it's thoughts swirling around in my head and nothing will drowned me out because you can't run away from yourself.
I like the meaning of the poem. Sometimes it was a bit choppy and I had to re-read it to realize what you meant, but since I'm kinda not experienced at this, I have no idea how to figure out what it was that made it sound less flowy. I think it might be just the way you re-arranged the lines. But I always thought that was optional depending on what the writer wants to do, so you don't have t listen to me....I blabber nonsense....
Anyway, I love this poem! And I like how I can relate to it.
I liked that part best! <3

Thanks a lot Rose. You're just like your sister, in nature and writing likewise
Hello there ishitadutt! The Silent Bagpipe here to review some of your work!
First off let me just warn you that I am not a very good reviewer. I am more of an inspirational reviewer xD My eyes just never seem to pick those grammar mistakes out like some people can.
Anyways on to the review - Your work is very well written and your rhythm was well done. I loved how much the tittle fit the poem, sometimes people have trouble with that. Including myself xD The subject of this poem was something I think happens to a lot of people. You did great though! I enjoyed this poem very much!
I did notice though that there wasn't many periods, commas, or anything o the like. I suggest you reread the poem and try to put some of those where they are needed. Over all, you did a good job with this poem.
My favorite part is -
"I hear voices in my head
They scream and shout
that my solitude demands to be fed"
Really well written, once again!
~Selina
