Hey guys! This is like, the first story I have ever written on YWS, so i really would like some feedback! I like helpful, not hurtful, things to put as comments, reviews, likes, however you guys do it on here. I signed up yesterday, so I’m still trying to get used to things. Just to let you guys know, this is NOT a full story. It is a chapter in a story I’m am writing, just to get started and see what you guys think! Another thing, anything in bold is what i have to say and NOT the story! Anything in italics is the main characters thoughts. Also, all the characters EXCEPT the main character can be searched to learn more about, if you not obsessed with the Avengers like I am. There are some characters you cannot look up because i made them up myself, and i’ll let you know who they are at the end of my story. Thanks you guys, for all your support, and i hope you like it!! P.S. This is revised, and I would like some reviews on how to make it better! Thanks!
Chapter 1: Awoke
Life. Nerves sending signals back and forth like crazy. My brain a jumble of mess as I lie here. A bunch of thoughts bombard my head.
Where am I?
What time is it?
Why is it so cold?
My teeth are chattering furiously, as I shiver in this, what is this? A metal container? I feel like a specimen, being examined through the small sliver of a window that is covered in frost. I’m scared. What is this place?
I look around and see, to my shock, that my arms, legs, everything, is tied to a sort of board thing and that I am in a standing up position. My hands are tied behind my back and they press uncomfortably against the board and my ankles are also bound. My wavy dark brown hair is hanging in my face and it blocks my vision a little bit. I try in vain to flip my hair out of my face, but it keeps falling down as my side bang covers my emerald green eyes. I look down and see that I am wearing one of my favorite comfortable dark green tees I usually wear to lounge around the house in. It has a couple of holes in the front and back, but I didn’t care because who besides my family is going to see it anyway? My legging shorts are little bit on the small side, but again, who cares? I then realize that I’m barefoot and my shirt has some new tears and smudges of dirt. Where did that come from?
After thoroughly examining myself, I try to see through the frost to the outside. I can’t see anything but moving shadows. They are all broad and muscular, except one that looks short and plump. I squint some more, straining for more sight. I hear muffled talking, it doesn’t sound like English. I’m confused, I’m alone, and in a place with probably 3 men.
It starts to get a little warmer, and the frost starts to go away. I can see better, and find that the plump man has frameless glasses and a too-long white lab coat. His blonde hair is stringy and he has some bald spots. He looks sort of old, but probably not past 70.
The next man is in a long, shiny, black coat with a square jaw and harsh cheekbones. His shoes are black and way too shiny along with his black coat. Why is this man obsessed with black? On his right shoulder is a symbol. It is all red with a black background, With a red skull in the middle and eight tentacles spewing out. His dark brown hair is short and slicked back, and he looks like he is talking with the man in the lab coat.
The other man, I can’t see his face. His long, brown hair goes a little past his chin and I see a little bit of a stubble on his face. The thing that catches my attention the most is his gleaming arm. I have no idea what to think of it, all metal like that. A prosthesis? I think so, because his other arm is normal. As he turns slightly, I see that he has a red star on his metal arm. The Soviet star? I hope not. Maybe it is just a strange coincidence.
He turns fully and faces me. Our eyes meet, his ice blue eyes locking with mine. He is wearing a black bulletproof looking vest and his normal arm is fully covered in the same black material, but his metal one is fully exposed. He has a belt with many compartments and his black pants has a bunch of pockets and black boots similar to the tall, black coat man. His black army garb makes him seem fearless and scary, but under all that, in his eyes, I see that he is confused and hurt. Mostly, he looks sorry. Sorry for me. And we lose eye contact.
I hate the feeling of being hopeless, helpless. I hate when people coddle me, making me feel smaller than the rest. This look is different. It looks like he has been through what I’m going through, like he knows my pain. He looks a couple years older than me. Maybe 20-ish?
I started to remember where I was. I’m in a metal container. Freezing, but not as bad as I woke up. These people, whoever they are, are holding me captive, as their prisoner. I’m numb, the cold eating away at me. And most of all, I’m somewhere I don’t know and I’m tied up in this ugly, metal cocoon.
I’m done.
I wiggle and move and grunt and pull, trying to yank out of my ties and knots. As I look out the window, I see the short, plump, doctor man. And he is smiling. And laughing. Laughing at what? Me? He looks at the man in the black coat and he nods. The guy then turns a knob on a control panel in front of him.
I hear the grunt and scrape of metal and everything in my freezing abode starts to shake. It gets warmer and warmer as the fresh air meets me. The door opens- I didn’t even know it had a door- and I slide out forward on my board. I shake my head back and forth, clearing my head.
“Well, well, well. Isn’t she a little fighter?” says the man in the black coat. He has a thick accent and a gruff voice. Is it German?
Me, just getting out of that freezing place just grunts.
“Not so strong, huh?” says the man in the lab coat. He chuckles as he slowly steps closer.
I glare at him, not fully gaining back my speech yet. I give him the ugliest glare I can give and he takes a small step back. I smirk.
Then I look toward the man with the metal arm. He turns and sees me and frowns. I see pain in his beautiful eyes. He feels what I do, and I love that wonderful connection.
The next thing I hear, I wish it wasn’t true, but I know I can’t change what is already done.
The man in the black coat looks at me and smirks, “Welcome to HYDRA.”
I hope you guys liked the start of my story so far! Since it is in the beginning, the names of the characters have not been introduced yet, so hang in there! The one thing you can look up if you are not a Marvel person, is HYDRA. It might give you a description, and if you have never seen the movies, it might not make much sense, but it will later on if you keep reading. Thanks you guys and please, please, PLEASE, comment and review! I love constructive criticism and I always want to learn from other writers! Thanks again!

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Heyo!
Okay, so I like the starting plot of this story; it gets you involved right off the bat. your grammar is pretty good, and I didn't see any spelling errors. I actually didn't realize that this was a Marvel story until the man said "Welcome to HYDRA." Haha. You're very descriptive with how things look in the story.
Now, some pointers. There does need to be a bit more description with senses other than sight. Also, maybe you should spread out your descriptive process rather than describing something just sentence after sentence, etc. also, though I said that your descriptiveness was good, just know that you have to make room for describing with other senses (by broadening it out). You want to make sure you keep readers intrigued so as they don't feel like they're reading a documentary script.
Overall, this was VERY good, and I thought that it was very well-written. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much and i will work on those revisions! Thanks for the review!
Hi my name is Tsunami and I am here to give you a great review. Oh and if I say anything that is rood in this review please tell me because I don’t mean to be rood at all.
I like the characters to so fare. I like they have different personalities. I know if all of your characters had the same personality's people will just think the story is lame and boring. So I think you are doing a great job with your story so fare.
So that is all good
I like that you have poult some emotion in to it. Okay all I want to say is that I think you need to just describe a little more like smell, site and feel. Oh and I liked how you started the chapter.
For your first novel I think it is really good. I hope you will keep on righting great work. I am looking for word to reading more of your of your fantastic work, and your next chapter. Oh and good luck with that by the way.
I hope you have a great day are night.

Okay let’s get started with what I like about the chapter.
I like the name of the story I think so fare it soots what I have read so great choices of name.
Okay I am now going to start the review.
Okay this is really good.
So that is all.
Oh and happy review day from your new friend Tsunami.
Thanks soo much for the review! I will add more description!
Okay, I look forward to the next chapter.
Hey there, I've never really been interested in Marvel but you've actually made me change my mind xD .. This seems really interesting and I love the whole mystery on where she is and why she's in this tube thing. I also like how this is in present tense as it makes it more realistic and I've sort of got an image in my head as the story evolves. One thing - the man says "isn't the little fighter'' ... is it supposed to say ''isn't she a little fighter". That's it though! This is awesome well done - keep it up!!
Thanks! I'm glad u like it!
I am not usually one for fan fiction, although this does seem interesting and I am curious as to what will happen next. I also love Marvel and the Avengers. This first chapter is written very well. Even for those who may not keep up with the Avengers might be able to follow this story the way it is written. The introduction of the characters was clear and easy to understand. Sometimes it is easy to have the character introduction a little unstable and unclear. I love the imagery and how descriptive it is when it comes to the main character describing their situation. The addition of the eye contact and connection with Bucky was really interesting and the possible foreshadowing of something to come later in the story. One thing though that confuses me is the chamber that the main character was held in. Going into a little more detail with that such as if she was lying down or standing, and possibly what it seemed to be made out of could help the reader picture it better in their mind. Overall I think this is a great introduction to a story that I look forward to reading more of. Keep up the good work!
Thanks soo much! I will make changes to the chamber part!
