Dear OCD,

Stop it.

Stop playing like a record

And repeating in my head

I didn't say you could make

a nest here

And stay here to knead

I'm crying,

Feeling like I'm dying

Obsessions?

Compulsions?

This makes no sense!

Diagnosed with an illness that can cause me to dread

Screaming and yelling like a war in my head

This is it

I've had enough

You've broke me like a glass wall

I didn't ask for this all

You're a monster

A demon

A fake reflection

You keep screaming for attention!

I want to make you stop

But you keep doing this!

I want to be me

But you're getting in the way

I've got so much more to say

Break the cycle

I'm fighting for mental survival

You don't exist

So much I've missed

Sincerely,

The girl who hates you dearly

I never reply to anything on here but I felt like i needed too for this :) I have really bad OCD too and i thought this beautifully put feelings into words. I tried to put it into words on her but was a lot less successful and poetic lol. Keep writing! you're other works are really good too by the way.

Hello Remington38 here for a reveiw.
Honestly I absolutely loved this poem. The title caught my attention and I couldn't help myself but read it. I love the small hints of rhymes and love how they are not controlling the poem, it's not distracting had you done anymore I think it may have become that way. There as a lot of emotion and the simplicity of it only adds onto it. This is very relatable and I think you achieved a way for it to be relatable to people who don't even have it. I agree with CuriosityCat this was a pleasure to read and reveiw. Again I loved it and am very interested in reading more from you!

Thank you! Ugh I'm speechless!! Thank you for your kind words and more works are coming soon!! This is a huge delight for me, and just thank you thank you!! :)

Hey there! CuriosityCat here to review!

Before I start, I'd first like to tell you just how wonderful this poem is. I have OCD too, and honestly, I couldn't have described living with it better myself. Everything about it is awesome: the figuritive language is minimal but emotive, and the rhyme scheme, even if it is only partial, is brilliant. In short - dude, you rock, and this poem is a pleasure to review. ;)

Now, as far as I could tell, the grammar and spelling are perfect, but I'd like to ask about the line structure. Not to be rude, but why is it so choppy? Don't get me wrong, it certainly gets the message across, but there are other ways to create pauses than putting each sentence part on a different line. Obviously it's your artistic choice, being the author, but you don't have to feel like that's the only way to add tension. Feel free to ignore that, but if you want to try it out when editing, feel free. :3

Anyway, as I said, I adore this poem. Thanks for being an awesome writer, and keep on keeping on, my talented friend!

Sorry for the choppiness!! Anyways, Thank you so much!! This is honestly a huge achievement for me and just- Thank you! I'm so glad you love it and honestly it was a vent for my mental illness. I'm so glad you could relate and that it made you happy. I'm speechless!! Also thank you for the advice, I'll get right to it! This is amazing, thank you so much!!
