Artist's Craft

An artist's joy and glory,
when her hobby becomes loud.
When either a pencil or a paintbrush
would bring happiness to all.

There are many dabblers
of these broken crafts.
Few are truly devoted
to a simple thing like paper.

Music is just one form,
many more not yet discovered.
Simply sitting in silence
can nurtuture your inner artist.

We may do not wrong,
but there's very little right.
Our old sacred pieces of beauty,
no longer have much point.

Now, here I am rhyming a little.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Hopefully these few seconds though
have shed some good light.

I was strolling through the list of poems when I came upon this one. It caught my eye because I do feel like an artist at times. I found that some of your lines referred to me.eg

"An artist's joy and glory,
when her hobby becomes loud"

This my favorite line in the poem. Good work! nice poem!

This is not my favorite poem, but perhaps it's just this style isn't my favorite. I think that this was very witty, because of the tone used and the vocabulary chosen. On the note of vocabulary, I thought you chose well, and crafted them together in a way that is very joyful to read
Overall, although this poem isn't exact to my taste, i still thought it was really good, Gothgirl

Hi there. I couldn't help but notice you wrote nurtuture in the end of the third stanza, which I think you meant as nurture.

I know what you mean, in the fourth stanza. It does feel like a lost art at times, not very relevant with today's society. Yet we keep creating. Musicians keep writing songs even when their art is copied and we as poets stand to make little or nothing, yet there is a simple glory to sitting quietly and pouring your heart onto paper. I'm not sure what the loss is you speak of? Is that time lost to reading the poetry? Lovely poem though. Keep writing!

Hey! Sandvich here.
I don't usually read poetry, so forgive the fact that this review will be completely lacking in technical stuff. I'll take this poem at face value, because that's all I can really do. :)
I liked this poem. I think you've picked an interesting subject matter, and the poem itself has some nice rhythm to it - I read it to myself under my breath with the rhythm, and it was pretty enjoyable.
I enjoyed your portrayal of the persona in this poem as well - it sounds kind of whimsical, and I like the way the persona described his craft. One thing I will say though is that the poem felt a little disjointed at times, but I feel like this adds to the general character of the poem. I think this might affect some readers, though.
Thanks for the read, and keep... Uh... Poet-ing!

Thank you so utterly much for the review! : )
I believe I added a bit of dis-jointedness because, to be quite honest, us artists are like that. :D We can be OCD or a few other things, but we definitely are disjointed at times. :)
Once again, thank you so much!
