Standing in a room full of mirrors, each with a different reflection.
Which reflection is mine?
A captive to the darkness, swallowed by bitterness.
No way to survive.
I no longer can comprehend what direction my life is going in.
I no longer have control.
There is an endless hallway full of doors,
I don’t know which one to choose.
Like a child in a department store, hidden among the many rows of clothes
Which way is the way out?
Can anyone find me?
Does anyone hear my bloodcurdling screams of terror?
Will anyone take me away from the black? From the pain?
I am suffocated by a never ending abyss,
And there is nobody here to save me.
No one is paying attention, or helping me find my reflection.
Just as I am about to give up
Just as I am about to give in, to let go, and stop fighting,
I see light.
More radiant and incandescent than the light of the world.
Your light guides me.
Your smile lights up my world.
Your eyes melt me, and give me reassurance.
And I know
Who I am.
I know what road to take.
You have shown me,
My reflection.

I really liked this, it definitely doesn't end how i was expecting it too.
I loved the lines
i think they really deliver something to the poem, I'm sure almost all of us have been lost between racks or clother in departments store, i remember the exasperation and loneliness i felt when i did.
I really liked it, great job.
Really? Is this who I think it's about?:/
It's a beautiful piece. But. Um.
Hey, I really liked this poem

It was really emotive and it was clear that you put a lot of feeling into it.
I loved the end where the light enters, and the narrator finds their reflection, it was really lovely!
Also, the use of questions always add some good effect, and it certainly did so here
I don't really have and bad criticism for you, as I just really liked it!
This poem was very deep. It was somewhat depresssing when it was talking about abysses and being lost but i liked the end. What was the light that came?
Hey,
I like it, it wasn't what I was expecting at all.
I feel like there needs to be another stanza between these too. Like how she gets from the room to the allway. I know it's all metaphorical, but it needs to be mixed here as the metaphor becomes more real towards the end.
Nice work. Keep it up.
PM me for anything!
