Awesome! Just awesome!! I agree that the title did catch me off guard. Other than that I couldn't find anything to correct! WE NEED A SKITTLE BOY!!! :D :) Great job on this! Keep writing!!! :D

I liked this quite a bit! Just like everyone else, I was caught off guard by the title. I really like how you tied the ending back to the beginning. My only suggestions are that 'purple' shouldn't be capitalized, and maybe go into more detail around where you start to say maybe she's kind and smart and funny. I liked where you were going with the possibilities, maybe try to humanize her by mentioning her family? This was really good, keep writing!

Thanks for the review! I like your ideas a lot.

I read the title and didn't know what to expect but then when I finished I really liked it. My brain was like "hey that's me" and so good job is really what you deserve and a pat on the back. I enjoy the structure and word choice. I personally find it so good because most poems about people being alone focus on the one that is alone, but this one gives a new perspective of someone who is just looking in. So all in all fabulous job and keep being awesome!

Thank you! I'm glad you could relate to it!

I really like this a lot. When I first read the title I was like what on earth....but then as I read the poem, I started to grasp the meaning of this small tale. And I really like it how you based it off a person you know. That's pretty cool. It is sad how people are forgotten before they are even remembered, which is the tragic part of life that shouldn't exist. Great job emerald fox! Keep writing!

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the poem!

I find it enjoyable how the only known trait of the girl is the purple skittles. Thus the title.

I also think it's neat that this is inspired by a real girl at your school. I'm still going to school so I see kids just as you describe.

You don't know anything about them but you find one thing that sticks out to you. Of course by know a lot of those kids I have gotten to know.

I think this poem also concentrates a bit on bullying. The way no one says hi. That may be just me looking into it too much though.

For grammatical problems the only thing I really noticed is you didn't put periods\commas\questionmarks\ etc in some of your stanzas.

Overall I thought this was cute and well done.

I also think that I want skittles now . . .

Thanks for the review! I did intend for it to be about bullying, but some people are reading into it in a humorous way, which is fine, too.

We see a lot of people who stay alone. We may not know why, but behind every person lies a story, right? Her red bag and purple skittles, they marked on my mind. They are just great. Not everybody is given a chance to tell their story. Purple skittle girl is one of them.

Maybe she just doesn't like to talk to anyone, because something happened before which affected her very much. Her purple skittles might have a story too, that's why she likes it. Her choice of color might have a message also. That's if she had chosen them and not her mom.

You chose the right subject, now you only need to do a sequel to this if you like. I'll be interested to read about the purple skittle girl soon, but hopefully it will have a additional information.

Keep writing. You did a great job.

Thank you for the review! I'm glad you liked it!

Short and sweet. I like that. The writing style reminds me of the kind of poetry an elementary school teacher would read to her students. But that's not a bad thing by any means.
If this is a real girl, I hope you've tried talking to her at this point! But hey, it's your life.
It does seem a smidge repetitive, but that aspect seems to fit the topic.
Seems sort of... depressing when I look at it like a big picture. I love the way you portray her though. Maybe you should write little poems about strange people you see around your school.

Good luck to you!

Thanks for your review!

I think its a really good poem, relate-able in many ways. Most people love skittle, and a large amount of people are quite in class. I love the simple sense of mystery given to the girl. And the purple is heaven.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the poem!

Haha, this is a great poem. :D Your choice of words went VERY smoothly, and I can't help but laugh at this poem. Not because I think is dumb, but because I find it funny and humorous. And after reading this, I seriously want to eat some skittles. It's been WAY too long since I've had any. :P

And I agree with musicandme, there should be a sequel to this with a skittle boy. But maybe make him red and super popular. :D Just a thought, but this one is seriously great.

Bye for now!

Thanks for the review! This is actually based on a girl who has my lunch period, but who knows? Maybe there is a Red Skittle Boy... :) This actually wasn't meant to be humorous, but reading it now, I can see how it could be funny, too.

Cool poem! It has a unique title too! I have one thing though. Your poem is good and you have good imagery of "Purple Skittle Girl", but I think you could make it a longer story and add in some detail. Tell the story around her not about her. Give some reasons why she's alone or why people suspect she's alone.

I also think if you wanted to, you could add a sequel to this! Like about a skittle boy or why she is what she is.

I really enjoyed this, I hope you add more like these in the future!

Thanks for the review! I might see if I could either add on to it or write a sequel at some point.
