what i am

as i graze past the mirror heading to the toilet
i stop and look, for i dont recognize who that is.
The boy i was, so innocent and pure
has grown to be a irresponsable, broke, perv.

i study my facial featres, scopeing out the worse
my unkept facial hair, my dirty teeth.
how my eyes sag when it is me that i see.
my eyes grew darker, gripped by red veins.

How i hurt people replays in my head.
everyone i hurt. all i have done wrong.
then it comes clear as to what i seen
it is indeed a reflection of me.

as if im looking through my eyes to my heart
the dirt and clutter that has been trying to hide
fear to answer the phone. fear of makeing it worse
but i will one more time to end a little of the hurt.

the friend who i thought i hurt
i was ready to face the truth
to find out i was wrong
and somebody else put me to fault.

She then explains how sweet i realy am
how careing and sweet and paitent and kind
all of the times i have been so nice
even though it was not a fault of mine

i glance back in the mirror for its not me that i see
my face is well kept and nearly trimmed
my eyes are back up to hight and fully bright.
my failures are overrun by my accomplishments

maybe one day ill find out that no matter what i see
there may be bad but theres also good inside of me.

This is an amazing poem, I felt the sorrow and despair and I felt my eyes well up with tears.

The brain is wider than the sky.
