*This picture book is underneath my folder titled “Rose and Katie”! The first story is underneath the folder “Rose and Katie”! This one isn’t as wholesome as the first one. That’s because I originally intended for it to not be supernatural at all. But I changed my mind. Gacha Club character designs are on my wall. I hope that you enjoy this and who knows? Perhaps I might make more picture books in the future.*
“Hello, everyone! My name is Rose, and this is my first day at Kindergarten!”
“I sure do hope I make friends… We should ALWAYS have someone to play with at recess!”
“Look! Someone wants to play with me!”
“I’m having so much fun!”
“Katie says that she likes unicorns, cupcakes, fairies, and flowers…like me!”
“We should make a fairy garden when we grow up! The biggest and beautifulest EVER!”
“But for now, I’m just glad that I met Katie.”
“We play everywhere now.”
“At school.”
“At the playground.”
“Even at my backyard!”
“In fact, Katie is here! At my sixth birthday party!”
“There are unicorns, cupcakes, flowers, and fairies!”
“And ice cream too!”
“Katie, wait! Not too fast! Look both ways!”
“Katie…?”
“I can’t believe it…she’s dead. My bestest friend is DEAD!”
“Katie??? You’re here???”
“Okay, Katie. Whatever you say!”

Oh my goodness!!! WHAT A PLOT TWIST ENDING!! I was not expecting that car crash and death o: I am so glad I found this one that you made in 2024!! I just finished reading the other version from 2022 and this one is a lot darker!! I love the contrast of the plots... one happy and this one... just devastating. You did a wonderful job making this very fast paced but also allowing us to connect to the characters. You tell us about how they bond and where they play together and the similar interests they have, they really were best friends. I like how Katie seems to come back in the end... or does she. I feel like this could have a really amazing next part where she makes the rose garden!
In terms of the pictures, they were fantastic!! I can really see how your drawings have grown in the last two years since the other story. Amazing work, once again, with bright colors and beautiful designs. This was such a pleasure to read and I love seeing beautiful and creative things like this on YWS. You have really inspired me to make my own!!

First Impression
Well I should've expected from the description this was going to have something a little less wholesome to it but I am glad you added a little bit of supernatural to the end. Its still very tragic but we're not left completely heartbroken.
Anyway let's get right to: Kate's Line by Line Reactions;
Oooh this reads almost like a little journal here, just chronicling the little events that took place as this person was trying to find a friend and they're slowly coming together over these little milestone and things that they discover about each other.
Oooh well it seems like a simple enough little tale of an adorable little childhood friendship and they're over together celebrating this lovely sixth birthday party but we transition into the actual action happening and oh dear, that car looks like its about to do something horrible.
Well that's genuinely a heartbreaking ending to end on, but I'm glad that for once you've gone in the more middle route and given us something just a little more bittersweet as it seems her friend's ghost is there and they can make play together again someday. Just a little sparkle of hope.
Aaand that's it for this oneee!!!
Overall
Well another cute little tale with a little twist. I think the drawings are quite a cute little touch. There's almost this sense of a journal like aspect of this little girl chronicling her life. I don't know if that was your intention but that is the vibe I really get from this.

Yo, pet semetery vibes. I felt chills when it showed Rose's happiness at seeing Katie again. Internally, I was like, "Rose, run RUN RUN!!!"
This was so eerie, like, knowing your stories, I knew something was going to happen, but the sudden supernatural event inside of what would look like a kids journal was just so eerie. Katie, or whatever is in her place, seems somewhat Malevolent, I hope nothing bad happens to Rose.

Ah, cool!! This was an interesting new direction to tell one of your stories from! It kind of reminds me of Ib the game...
me talking like anyone will recognize that game, usually they don't lol. Either way, cute but very dark in nature. I love that setup for a horror story!As for the story itself: it sounded sweet and innocent, and Rose and Katie were both growing on me, but I should've known better while reading a Vampricone story, heh. Those last couple of pages were so eerie and cool, and explained the first story (which I also read) very well!
So, overall, no complaints! The drawings are great, they fit the theme perfectly, and the story was awesome! Nicely done!
