Winter is one of the four seasons. Winter is a time of year where families go on vacation and most of their flights get delayed. Winter is a time of year where kids in school go on winter break for two weeks and have no school. Winter is a time of year where families celebrate, Christmas, Hanuka, and Kwanzaa. Winter is a time where families and friends go to each other's houses and eat and have parties. The if you celebrate Christmas on December twenty fifth family members exchange presents and adults have adult time where they talk about adult type things and all the spoiled kids get to open their presents and enjoy their new gift. Winter is a time of year where families put up decorations around the house and get a Christmas tree and put up ornaments and set up lights around the outside of their houses. Winter is a time where little kids make snowmen and snow angels in the white pretty snow. Winter is a time of year where you can wake up to the beautiful flakes coming down and land gently on the ground and start to build up. Winter is a time where people celebrate the new year and get together and watch new years specials on t.v. and when the clock strikes midnight everyone blows whistles and horns blow confetti and you can see the multicolored fireworks booming and crashing in the sky above. Winter is a time for family and friends and being thankful and blessed to have wonderful people in your lives. Winter is most importantly a season. So this holiday season tell all of your family and friends you are grateful for them and blessed to have them in your lives. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Hey there, Cletus,

I didn't catch much of a poem from this, so it's moved to Non fiction for now.
It's not bad, but I can't see where you're going with it. I feel like you're just stating facts instead of turning them into your own understanding and such -- tell us, what does winter mean for you, personally?

Hello Cletus. This was very good, but what happened to your line breaks? This all one big block of text, which is bad for any kind of story. Now, onto the review.
First, it seems as though you were struggling to grasp the style of poetry. It's cute, but it reads very much like a list, without any edge or style to it. Also, I can't really see a message in the poem. It's just stating what people do in winter. Why do they do these things? I'd mention something about the magic of the holiday season.
